Had the opportunity to eat here twice during our visit to Chanute. First was during the busiest time of the year- the Artist Alley and the service was 5 stars and the food (pizza) was fresh and delicious. Our second opportunity came later that evening at our class reunion when the caterer we had scheduled messed up and didn’t show up (their review to come next). Opies management and dedicated staff made it happen and once again, the food (chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans) was fresh and delicious! Food is good, I go in once in a while. For the last three trips, the service has been very disappointing. The older servers are good but the young servers are planning on bringing a drink and your ticket to pay and that is it. I usually order off the menu. Then I have to get up and get my silverware. The iced tea has little ice. The server takes no notes so the cook today had to come out to my table and ask me what I wanted on my order. Geesh. Then the server disappears only to bring more iced tea at the very last two bites of the meal. If I am paying $21 for lunch, I want ice in the tea, silverware set at table or brought to me, and a server who has a clue. This one today was polite and pleasant. I had a server there maybe a couple months ago who refused to bring sour cream, telling me that the restaurant was out of it. I thought surely this restaurant has sour cream. So I asked the guy taking money, "yes, we have sour cream". So if your servers there are complaining about the amount of tips that they earn or do not earn, maybe training to actually do full service would be in order.

Had my daughter graduation dinner here. Quoted different price than expected and paid full price for children under 5. If it wasn't for the chicken cutlets it would have been a bust. Live and learn. My newphews faces says everything.

Was just ok. This is a place you don’t write home about. After looking over the menu I decided to have the buffet. I suppose I should have just ordered a sandwich. For the price I could have and should have gone down the road. If you are looking for something quick it’s ok. However, my server was very pleasant. One of the cooks came out of the kitchen and walked over to another table standing there talking. I then watched him go back into the kitchen and come back out with more food for the sparse buffet. It was then I was done eating.
Down home place that had great service! The buffet was good, it had a variety of pizzas, chicken, and enchiladas. Salad was fresh, and all the toppings were too.

First time we ate there and tho a small buffet it was pretty good. Pizza could take more cheese. They had cinnamon desert sticks & twist ice cream also. Service was excellent!
