I asked the waitress what on the menu she suggested, and she suggested the chicken fingers. MAN!!! They were amazing! It was the best batter on chicken, or fish for that matter that I've ever had, by far. Additionally, the chicken was so moist, it was like it had been injected with water or something. And though I wanted to eat it all, I couldn't because the serving was too large. Other than being my Mother's birth place, those chicken fingers are another reason to go through Council Grove if I am in the area. Oh yeah, the southwestern egg rolls were pretty good too....

Nice place we went towards the end of the night. Only people in the place. Got the lime pork chop it was okay. My dear friend got the Chicken Fried steak he said it was delicious!

Excellent food in the heart of the really cool downtown of Council Grove, Kansas. Beautiful fall day, went for a late lunch. Not crowded but the food took longer than expected. The Chicken Fried Steak was delicious and well worth the wait! The desserts were just outstanding! My wife loved the Bread Pudding, “just the right amount of cinnamon”. My Apple Crumble pie was equally delicious.
