Service was very good and attentive.The food was ok but very salty on the beef lacking the Mexican spices you would expect.Only 1 table sauce offered and no tortillas offered.Was fairly disappointed by the food but Service was good. Next time I will keep driving down the street.
The food is great and so is the service! It feels fairly crowded inside, though. The booths are uncomfortable because anytime someone moves (in your party or a table that shares the booth, the whole thing moves. So, you might be eating, then the table behind you sits down and disturbs everything or causes you to spill/drop something). After moving to Derby 2 years ago my husband and I discovered El Maguey. We love Mexican food and it's the best around! Their cheese dip and chips is always a must on each visit. We have had the chimichanga, fajitas, carne asada tacos and steak fajita quesadilla which are all very good. I hate to admit it but we eat there at least once a week. It's definitely worth a try if you happen to be in Derby and are craving Mexican food, good service and an enjoyable restaurant...
