We had a tabletop of 8 tonight for a special occasion. Miranda was energetic, friendly and amazing at her position. She checked on us many times and gave us time to enjoy our meals and drinks. Great employee and we loved her!! The food was fantastic, the baklava and creme brulee was yummy.
We went on a Friday evening and they had a musician. The music was great. There service was amazing and the food was perfect. Found a new date night spot!

Run DONT WALK to Layali and try them out, if you havent! Went for lunch with my husband today and between us we had 2 meals, 1 beverage, and dessert and we were 100% satisfied with everything we received. We knew going in it was a finer dining experience and i feel the price was appropriate for the service/quality. The fattoush had incredible flavor and all ingredients were fresh. The aioli on my burger added a good layer of flavor and the beef schwarma was so juicy! The baklava cheesecake is the stuff of dreams! I plan to get that at every visit. Looking forward to trying dinner next time.
Hands down best place to unwind and enjoy delicious food, drinks, company and live music! Shout out to musician Paul Fowler š«¶š½

We had lunch at Layali today and it was absolutely fabulous! We got to chat with Chef Roni, who made the best recommendations⦠and wow, they did not disappoint! I had the warm goat cheese salad with salmon (so good!) and we finished with the flourless chocolate torte. OMG. š Everything was incredible from start to finish. The flavors, the service, the atmosphere, just perfect.
If you havenāt been yet, go support local, this place is amazing! š

A delicious change of pace from Derby's usual restaurants, Layali provides fine dining in Derby without the cumbersome drive to Wichita. My wife and I enjoyed their cod and a nice glass of wine. We are looking forward to returning.

The food was fantastic and a great value. There was a good variety of flavors and textures with each dish. And the portions are generous.

Went here for a nice weeknight dinner, and this place did not disappoint. Donāt be fooled by the prices - you will get your moneyās worth. The portions were larger than expected and we couldnāt help but notice that if weād tried to cook a similar meal at home we would have spent 5x the amount and it wouldnāt have been a quarter as good. Combined with the nice atmosphere and good service, I hope Derby realizes itās got a gem of a restaurant on its hands. Weāll definitely be back.

Great little place!
Our server was lively & fun witha full knowledge of the menu.
The menu isn't huge, to me this is a good thing for their rotating seasonal items. The humus is a must try, I had the sirloin & it was cooked perfectly.

We had such an amazing lunch on the patio at Layali. We had the chicken schwarma and it was outstanding. The hummus was light and delicious. The service was professional while personal. We are ready to go again!

I got the Angus beef filet which was amazing. It was so tender and juicy. The sauce on it was very flavorful. We also got the shrimp skewers appetizer which was good.
During our visit we had asked for them to turn the fans off as it was extremely cold. We were told they couldnāt turn off the ceiling fans as they are attached to the AC system. This caused our food to get cold very fast. I wanted to send my filet back to have them heat it up as it got very cold about 3/4 through eating it from the fans. However the staff didnāt check on us enough.
While there they had a performer by the bar with a guitar. It would have been fine if he was performing at an appropriate volume. However he was so loud that it made having a conversation difficult.
The staff was friendly but when we got the food they checked on us once quickly right after we got our food, then didnāt show up till later. I wanted to have them heat up my food but gave up and finished what I had even though it had gotten cold.

The atmosphere is really well tailored, it's tastefully designed, you feel like you are eating somewhere really classy.
I enjoyed the food. I got the Chicken Shawarma, with Hummus and a salad. The salad may have had a little too much dressing on it, but was good overall. I really liked the food presentation, it feels like they really take their time to make sure the food looks presentable.
The service was also really good. The server was friendly and approachable. They gave me a full detailed rundown of the menu's details and any changes they were making.
Overall a really good experience.

Service was great with friendly staff who were quite attentive. Food was good, but not in alignment with the price being paid in terms of portion size and flavor. I don't see myself returning unless someone else is footing the bill.
