Ordered online for a delivery waited 40 minutes before calling to confirm that they had received my order. was told that my 1 pizza had not been made and was on the bottom of their sceen/list. They also stated that they could not give me an estimated time for my pizza to be made or delivered but would gladly void the order.

I ordered two pizzas for pickup. I wa told they would be ready at 7pm. I showed up, waited 20 minutes before someone came to the counter. Gave them my name, they said they were in line to be made. I asked how much longer. He said I don't know. We are busy. I canceled the order. Papa John's is dead to me.

Ordered delivery for 7:15, I live less than 1/2 a mile away. It didn't get delivered until 7:40. Then they just left it on the ground didn't even ring the doorbell .

Everytime we try to eat here they say the ready for pickup time is roughly 30 minutes. I get there in 40 minutes and my pizza is still 20-25 minutes from being ready. Whatever system they use to determine when youre food will be ready is automated at 30 minutes even though it takes over an hour to be ready. Poor management and poor ability to be straight with their customers just so they can convince you you've already waited this long why not wait double the time.

It shouldn’t take an hour and a half to make a pizza. I forgot why I stopped using them. Now I remember. Then it takes 5 days to “void” the order and get it back in my card. Terrible business.

UPDATE: I stopped in to complain about the bogus tip, they resolved the issue to my complete satisfaction. Thank you, Justin. Delivery drivers deserve a $5 tip. I shouldn't have to tip for picking up my order.
Ordered NY style crust with my toppings and the garlic parmesan bread sticks. This was no way a NY style crust! Thin and rubbery! Bread sticks barely had any of the sauce on them. Had to go back in! Add insult to injury, my credit card company notified my of leaving a $5 tip WHEN I HADN'T LEFT ANY TIP!

The Papa John’s in Derby, Kansas has EXTREMELY POOR customer service. My wife wanted to order 6 or 7 pizzas because we have a large group of family from out of town. She was RUDELY told by the manager over the phone that those type of orders require 2 days notice. I’ve never heard of that, but I would have been ok with it if she had been polite with the policy. I drove over to the store to complain and the manger nonchalantly denied she was rude and ABSOLUTELY NO APOLOGY WAS GIVEN. I also noticed that the store was VERY DIRTY. When I pressed her further about the need for PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE she disrespectfully walked away from me and one of her employees asked me to leave the store, which I did. In my 57 years I have never been inside a food business that was this bad! I did not rate the food becuase I never got any, which is a good thing due to the filthy look of the store. Avoid the Derby, Kansas Papa John’s at all costs!

Haven’t had Papa John’s pizza in a couple of years. So, after a long shift at work I decided to get a pizza. Walk in and the lady walks up to the counter with an attitude. No customer service, just says “What do you want?” I ordered a large pizza and she rolls her eyes at me and starts cussing under her breath. I pay in cash and she starts slamming the cash register, throws my change on the counter, and walks off. I asked for a receipt and she rips it out of the printer, slams that down on the counter, and storms off saying it’ll be 20 minutes. I go to my car for a while, and come back after about 15 minutes. Once inside, I hear her cussing behind the counter about me being in the store (it was only us in the store.) She finished the pizza, literally threw it on the counter to where the box opened up and slid, and then went into the office without saying anything. I used to love Papa John’s pizza, but this experience just ruined all of it. Corporate needs to do a better job when picking people to operate a store, because this was terrible.

Worst pizza place I’ve ever been to. Ordered pizza an hour in advance, came in after an hour of waiting and was told the pizza wasn’t even started making yet and I was on the bottom of their list and would have to wait approximately another hour. Incredibly rude and attitude given by individual at the counter. Works in the back were yelling and cussing and throwing things in front of customers. I asked for a refund and they claimed they’d try, but never got my money back. Will absolutely never come here again. Honestly, reconsidering ever going to Papa John’s again because of this.
