“Truck stop breakfast, my expectations were nil. It was simply a quick bite to eat. Today began with a lost carry out order. A system error that the manager was apologetic for and the kitchen was really quick to fill our order. Hands down the best ihop meal I have had in 30 years. Fresh food, nicely plated and safely packaged for travel. Condiments and actual mints in the bag. The $7 value menu omelette - I expected nothing. I received excellence. The omelette was composed of beautifully thin folded layers sprinkled with ingredients. The hash browns were at the exact middle of cooking crispy on top and steamy potatoes underneath. BLT had an actual layer of bacon in the cross section. Not weak strips that sort of make a layer. Tomatoes were lovely and red with no cores or end slices, a pet peeve of mine. Chef has experience and standards. Stop here - it's short-order excellence.“
