Stop along Route 66.We arrive in this area of Galena, and we feel like we are in another world: it's like when it was an important stopping point on Route 66 decades ago. Since 1979 the diversion of the U.S. he cut her off completely. But here everything lives in the memory of glorious times. There are still rusty vintage cars, old pumps, dilapidated buildings, perhaps fake dilapidated because they are in good shape internally even if furnished as they once were. Everyone is kind, they ask us where we come from and invite us to stick pins on their world map, to write something in their logbook, they offer to take a photo of us in front of their trophies.

One of the landmark locations onto the Route66. If you like the Cars movie, then its one of the places to visit. There's a board that showcases that mater character being inspired by a old tow truck. There's couple of other landmarks related to Route 66 nearbyWould say one of the quite and simple places i have visited ,recommended while in area.

Closed when I went by but still worth stopping to see the cars parked outside. Great photo ops.
