“I love this coffee shop and visit multiple times everytime I’m in the area!! The owners are the best and sweetest people you’ll ever meet!! The chef makes delicious homemade food and the drinks are outstanding!! I recommend the cinnamon rolls, the biscuits and gravy, the breakfast sandwiches, the chili, the goulash and potato soup!! For drinks, as someone who doesn’t drink coffe there are tons of non-coffee options, the strawberry peach smoothie is to die for!! If you do drink coffee, you literally can’t go wrong with any of the drinks! The owners love to come out and chat and are always so friendly and welcoming! You can find tons of tourists from all over the world and people enjoying a communal puzzle in the front of the coffee shop! Perfect for everyone and great to stay awhile or grab a quick bite!! Definitely worth a stop! “Although I no longer live in the area, Red Onion in Galena, KS is the go-to spot for lunch dates with my friends when I come back to town. They have a very tasty menu with different daily specials along with desserts and some specialty drinks. The quality of food is good, but I feel it has gone down in quality and quantity since I moved a few years ago. After speaking with some others, it sounds like their salads are not the freshest, which is disappointing for such a well patronized establishment. The staff is always friendly and service is great. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a bite to eat or refreshing beverage.”

Food was served fast even after ordering once I got there, and the car hop was very friendly!Parking: Parking was fine..a bit of a tight squeeze along the back of the store to get out, but my full size car made it just fine. That whole interaction felt a bit intense but i guess i didn't have to interact with that person much.All-in-all, great little spot. It's small and trendy, so expect a potential wait.”

“It's not very often I review 5 out of 5, but this restaurant was completely on point. Server was great, the food was amazing, even the food presentation was great. The atmosphere was calming, it was clean and had a relaxing feel to the whole place. Can't wait to take my hubs where he can try the Chicken Salad Sandwich, it looked amazing. I did their "dinner" salad and it was delicious, so glad I didn't get the larger version as there is no way I couldn't eaten that much.”

“Now this is a hole in the wall type of places, worth the stop and try if you like burgers! Looked to be mom & daughter working together. Friendly.Burgers were fresh and good. We each got them with pepperjack cheese.No sitting available, there might have been one picnic table outside however we sat in our car and it was just fine.”

“Finally made it to this restaurant. Usually in Joplin on Sunday when they’re closed. It was fantastic! Food and atmosphere were excellent. Had the best of both worlds…tamales and spaghetti with chili and beans. My wife is allergic to onions…it was great their chili had no onions. We’ll be back many many ”

“This place is an absolute gem. The drinks are delicious, the employees are super friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. If you're driving through Baxter Springs you definitely need to stop by, get you a delicious coffee or Lotus drink and chat with the employees.”

“Classy place. Bartenders are very personable, The staff is down to earth, and polite but doesn't waste time to crack jokes and make you feel right home. Stand up night is awkwardly fun, bands are a wide array of rock sub-genre's. (Punk, Metal, Norwegian-Nintendo Popcore [jfwu] etc.) Pizza is good but the pretzel with cheese sauce is damn good. Ask for extra parm in the sauce. Affordable drinks, dive yet comfortable scene for the most part, tolerable to amazing patrons, pool and other games. I didn't write this. But thanks to whoever did. It was probably me 4 years ago, but when asked by Google to update after going and playing pool, why not, if over the years, it remains my favorite? 5 stars cause it's comfortable and welcoming, and is tied for the best place to catch Norwegian-Nintendo Popcore shows in town. “I’m writing this review in lieu of the current news. I rated Zinc for 5 starts bc of the wonderful, hardworking people who made this place what it was. Zinc brought a lot to Joplin. It was great to see a place like this bring so much of the community together which is hard to do in Joplin. This was the place that helped me launch my business. I am disappointed to learn that Zinc is closing. I’m also disappointed at the approach the owners took to disclose such information. Not only are they taking away a grand spot where many memories have been made, the way they approached it was not tactful at all. I understand priorities change, however the individuals who ran Zinc day to day deserve better. I’m writing this here bc comments on their Facebook post were deleted or limited. I’d hope accountability is taken and apologies are made mainly to staff. To only give the wonderful faces who made Zinc, Zinc an hour’s notice and less than a month is unprofessional and disheartening.”

“Great food and great service. We eat here quite a bit. I've been craving ceviche and I ordered the shrimp cocktail. It was made more like a ceviche shrimp gazpacho, except the shrimp were whole (+feshly cooked and cooled). The base was some kind of shrimp-spicy tomato juice-cocktail sauce-Pico blend. It would make a killer brunch bloody mary.
