Great Place to Eat!!! One of My Favorites Places!!

This place is a real gem. No place quite like it. The food is great and ice cream and pie is even better. I ordered a ruben sandwich. It was toasted and delicious! It came with pickle spears and a side. I choose cottage cheese as my side.

In the heart of garden city, Kansas nestled between buildings is a vintage restaurant from 1925. Although in this time era, it was owned by Myers ice cream and has had several owners since the original opening. The interior has maintained much of its original structure. In 1943 the restaurant opened for lunch and dinner and still maintaining its 50s vibe.

I felt like I transported back to the 50s. The owner was serving the customers working behind the counter and out on the dining room floor. The service was exceptionally great. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

I ate a grilled cheese sandwich with pickles and chips. I took potato soup to go for dinner later. The food was amazing. It tasted like a home-cooked meal. You have to try the soda fountain it’s one of the few ones left, where they make sodas 1950 style. They have homemade pies too.

The chubby checker and the chili were awesome. The coconut cream pie does not have lard, it was amazing! The decor is adorable.

I didn't get to eat my food because it wasn't anything like I ordered so I told them to cancel it. The waitress seemed to have a little attitude after that, but Mike(?) was very friendly. I'd give them another chance because of my childhood memories of the place and because he was so genuinely friendly.

If your looking for old school diner this is it. They have a good menu and the food is great. My mother and father in law go there at least 3x month

A blast from the past! Definitely the place you should stop and have lunch. Get a old fashioned malt, the way God intended ice to be drank.

Great food with no wait. Great service. Cute place but could definitely use a refresh.

Visiting from Texas and my inlaws brought us to traditions and everything was great. We loved how they kept the old style soda shop atmosphere.

So glad we made this stop on our road trip! Delicious ice cream sodas at an old-fashioned soda fountain.
