We stopped here both on the way across country and on the way back. It was seriously the best food, ridiculously great service, and such a blessing for a break during the high winds.
Dietary restrictions: They worked well with no onions, easy on the oils, and no eggs restrictions I have.

Waitress (Susan) was rude from the beginning and even had the demeanor that she didn’t want to be at work. Came back to take our order with food in her mouth and spit on my son while trying to talk. Appetizers came out quickly and just right. Food took awhile but I can understand with the busyness and size of our table. The riblets looked like a joke of a meal-meal scraps just thrown on the plate and gave my daughter a stomach ache. I switched meals with her and tried the riblets myself and took two bites and pushed the plate to the side. It tasted like 3 day old reheated meat over sauced. My husband’s meal (chicken broccoli Alfredo w/ extra meat) came out and the chicken was burnt, pasta was dry, and the breadstick was crunchy and looked like it was a week old. 2/7 of our meals weren’t edible. The waitress NEVER came back after she dropped our meals off. Only got 2 refills the whole evening. Asked for to-go boxes and she brought one we needed 2-3. She also just threw the receipt/bill down. The manager gave us a $15 discount. I do not feel this was enough since two meals were bad and we had poor service. The water in the women’s bathroom was either freezing cold or scolding hot and one of the soap dispensers didn’t work.

Food is typically good. Service not usually. Order tonight was put in wrong and we had finished eating and paid on the tablet at the table and had only seen our waitress twice. Once to take our order, and once to bring our drinks. So never had the chance to correct the mistake or get refills.

I ordered a meal to go. It was missing part of the order plus what I received was incorrect. Basically, I ultimately ended up paying the price of a full meal but receiving only 3 pieces of fish! I called and spoke with one of the managers, Mary to see if they would credit part of my meal since it was incorrect and was told the only way they could get the bill adjusted was to for me to return to the restaurant. I explained that I had JUST gotten off the interstate after literally driving 400 miles! Mary was "really sorry about that" but nothing could be done. There should be a better policy to accommodate weary travelers (or actually anyone) without inconveniencing them by requiring them to return to the restaurant to have the mistake made by the Applebee's staff rectified. I am highly disappointed and I do not anticipate a return nor a recommendation to Applebee's in Hays, Ks. on Mopar any time in the foreseeable future!
I had a fantastic experience at Applebee's Grill + Bar! They offer an amazing selection of food and drinks, including a variety of non-alcoholic options, which is a big plus. Plus, they offer to-go margaritas, a fun touch! The staff were incredibly friendly and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Appreciate the hospitality and great experience our server has been.
Our waitress was great. Our appetizer we ordered came out cold no biggie. The manager on duty though brought our food out it was so hot we had to let it cool down. He did leave part of our sons at the counter. We waited for our waitress to come back and told her. Very very apologetic and went back and had them make a new one. All and all it was a good meal and would be back.
Plenty of options for my kid, who is allergic to milk, wheat, and nuts.
