“This place is a Kansas gem. We had a great time enjoying a flight of local wine. It is well worth it to sip on the Blueberry Pinot Noir. The Cheeseboard had a great Selection of local cheese. A unique and out of the ordinary place.”

“THE place to eat in Hays! Our one and only stop after a good night of trap league! Ice cold beer and great food! We ALWAYS start with pig tails and sheet pan nachos. Our go to entree? Ribeye, sweet potato fries, side salad. If you’ve never had the sweet potato fry sauce, you’re missing out. If you’re not into steaks it’s hard to go wrong with pretty much anything on the menu. The teriyaki chicken and black and blue burger are also some of our favorites! The staff is always great and ready to serve you with a smile! Our only complaint… make the frosty (a mixed drink) available year round!!!”

“Atmosphere, staff, food quality, portion, all five stars. This is one of my favorite places to eat in the country. It embraces what makes America great. I enjoyed four samples of the beers all were delicious. For dinner I chose the pork chop with the carrots and green beans. The pork chop was tender and perfectly prepared. All absolutely delicious and top quality. The cinnamon apples on top of the pork chop where a treat!”

“OK, here's the facts. You must stop here if you are near Hays Kansas! We had hamburgers, malts, and a salt-free patty for our puppy. This is not our first time here, and won't be the last. If you are on I-70, call ahead about 15 minutes and make the drive down South on the main drag. Get away from the interstate and have "real food" cooked to perfection. I posted my pictures and they have a paper menu if you ask to take with you. You can mix any two milk shake flavors for $0.25, a quarter. I can't say enough good things. The awning is large and covers the entire car on hot days or in the rain. I love this place! Also, there is a great Starbucks on the way down there, hint hint. Check it out! PS , they are closed on Mondays so plan your trips accordingly.”

“Dietary restrictions: The coconut shrimp was the best shrimp I have ever eaten. We are travelling through the state and what a lucky find for our dinner option. We toured the Philippines for 3 weeks and this food is even better than in country. Dietary restrictions were mentioned and the waitress returned with 6 great options to choose from.”

“Love the kind service, and community centered coffee shop. Great stop on a roadtrip. My coffee was way too sweet though even after requesting half sweet so keep that in mind. They were nice though in offering to try to fix it. Definitely a good place to support.”
“We arrived here accidentally but that couldn’t have been better!
The ice creams were amazing and the staff was very friendly.
Don’t miss out on the coffee flavor which was amazing!
Parking: The parking is right next to it, around 20 spaces with a couple of electric chargers.”

“Played here a solo acoustic show a few years ago! This place was really cool! Loved the craft beer options they had and the crowd was really attentive to live music! Thanks for supporting live music!”
“We were in town for a baseball tourney. We grabbed a blended snickers with the works and it was so good!
The blueberry muffins, chocolate muffins and cinnamon rolls are delicious.
The breakfast burritos aren’t very good in my opinion.
The cookies for the kids combos are sometimes still frozen and my kids don’t like them so we just get the cotton candy smoothies for them and the mini donuts!
Kid-friendliness: They offer kids smoothies. Strawberry and cotton candy.”

“I love this place. Their tacos are absolutely delicious. Queso and chips and their wings were really good as well. this is my go to place when I need tacos though.”

“This place was very nice, with a menu centered around fried chicken. The chicken per se was excellent, and we cleaned the plate. A special love of ours is chicken livers… They were slightly overcooked, and the breading was not as incredible as the chicken per se. But that is a minor complaint, and we love this place.”

“Just as good as the first time I had it. The only thing the waffle fries were a little salty but that happens. Friendly service. Fresh cooked food. Best chicken tenders I've had in a long time. Support a local company, not a franchise and have good food.”

“Made my pizza just how I wanted. They were quick, friendly, and accommodating. Love Papa Murphy's pizza. Makes for a quick and easy meal for my family after a long day, and we all enjoy it. Also it's reasonably priced, and convenient. Take it home and bake it when you are ready, and it doesn't taste like cardboard. I highly recommend this as your Pizza Night alternative.”
“Nice place. Haven’t been in this bar since the 80s. Don’t remember what it was called then, but it’s specialty then was it’s hot sausages and they still have them. Kinda cool.”

“Munjor's quintessential dive bar. The drink prices won't break the bank. The happy hour food specials make it worth the trip out of Hays. Mind the door on the way in! ?”
“Husband had this pizza years ago at a rural location. He completely forgot about it until seeing sign at a different location in another very rural area. I personally have never had it and I'm extremely picky when it comes to pizza. It's one of my favorite foods. Well he suggested I try it because he remembers loving it over a decade ago. So I agreed and got a simple pepperoni pizza and then drove 15 mins home. Only cost $11.99 plus tax for a 12" Pizza which is cheapest pizza I've ever purchased. I had to rewarm it which made me hesitant on the quality. I was totally wrong. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN. First purchase for me was yesterday and today I went out and bought 2 more. Great dough, sauce, cheese the works. I will forever be a Hunt Brothers Pizza only..”

“Normally I save reviews for exceptional service. This Arby’s has it! After driving cross country, we’ve eaten at almost every fast food place in the last week, but this Arby’s was the BEST on this trip! Really clean and the food was hot, delicious and delivered quickly. The staff, especially Kirk, who took our order, were efficient and friendly! So, if you’re traveling across Kansas, stop into the Arby’s in Hays, Kansas, and enjoy a beef & cheddar and a chocolate shake! A great meal for 2 under $25!
Parking: Nice easy drive though with quick service.”
“We have been doing take-out lately and the food has been great. We find that one entre is enough to feed both of us a big meal. I like the Orange Chicken and she prefers the General, so we end up getting one of each. I add in a side order of sushi just for the fun of it. \n\nWe get all of this (with rice and drinks) for around $20 and make 2-3 meals for each of us out of it.\n\nThe dining area is small so I think they are currently drive-through only.”

“This place was small but nice. The dance floor was so cool!! And the dj booth was disguised as a bus which i thought was very interesting. There was a small stage and a sort of like go-go dancer cage on the dance floor, as well as a small stage box up on the bar with a pole that customers can use 😉 Music was good too. Mostly throwback 90s and 2000s.”

“Traveling through Kansas we stopped at a motel and this little place was right next door. Guy greeted us at the counter with a big smile and the place wasn’t that busy. After ordering and getting our food to go we did not expect such amazing portions and food! The chicken was SO incredibly fresh and crispy. The stir fry rice with vegetables was so hot and steaming it was amazing. All of it was out of this world. Even the coleslaw was great! We even bought one of their tshirts! Love this place and the workers! Thanks guys!!! We may come back to Hays, Kansas just for ALOHA CHICKEN!!!”
“I got there later on in the morning around 10:30 and they didn't have much, but that is my fault for sleeping in, not the bakery's! LOL. The cherry turnover and the caramel/pecan cinnamon rolls were delicious. Next time I'm in Hays, I'll set my alarm early and won't sleep in!”

“Alyssa was friendly and engaging as she greeted the intrepid party of adventuring heroes. Her eyes shone with the dazzling brilliance of a thousand stars as the witty banter was bandied about. The adventures took a seat and the dark brooding presence of Emmett James Espinoza overshadowed the scene. "What'll ye have, me heartless land lubbering scallywags," he demanded. The heroes were so flustered by his audacious demand that hands immediately grasped hilts. Not to be outdone, JT said, "argh... What's your favorite, Emmett James Espinoza, ya lily-livered bilge pumper? Bring us that, and none more of your sassy lip!" With that, the wanton Prince of Doom and darkness turned a pirouette and flounced away. Gavin pulled out his Gerber multi tool from it's scabbard on his leather belt and proclaimed loudly "I like this place!", stabbing the blade deep into the faux mahogany table top. "You're going to pay for that," Alyssa said with a frown.... and the adventure only got better from there.”

“The young man behind the counter was helpful and managed multiple customers near closing time like a pro. He was polite and communicated items they didn't have up front. Coming from another state with minimal resources and poor customer service, we appreciated this experience from a fast food restaurant. Thank you!!”

“One of the cleanest and most efficient Jimmy John’s I’ve ever seen. The staff is a well oiled machine. Super impressed with the level of service inside.”
“We stopped at DQ in Hays as a rest stop on our way through Kansas. The 2 girls working were friendly and attentive. Breckan, made my hot fudge sundae to perfection and served it with a smile. The store was clean and cool on a hot summer day! Thank you for a wonderful stop.”

“We stopped here on our way to Colorado. We are a family of 2 adults, 1 teen, 2 pre-teens and 1 child. It rarely happens that we all love our food, but at Tiger Station, we did. The chicken po boy was amazing. The kids all loved their chicken baskets and the hubs loved the fish. We'll definitely be stopping here again next time we come through Hays.”

“This is a great Wendy's to stop off I-70 and grab a bite. The service is top-notch. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is always hot and fresh.
My only complaint about this particular Wendy's is that their soda machine is always on the fritz. It's a hit or miss if you want a soda or pop, depending on your demographics.
Other than that. It's a great facility.”

“Pizza buffet is clutch when you’re super hungry.
Lots of different options and if you ask for something specific, sometimes they will cook it for you, as long as it’s not too crazy.
Salad bar is basic/classic salad bar, but clean and pretty good.
Restrooms are clean and staff is always nice.
They have daily specials, and offer a discount to students and if you wear tiger gear on Fridays.
For the price, it’s a good deal if you are hungry. And it’s the only buffet in town.
Edit:
After response from Gambino’s the 4 star is really only because the inside is showing its age. The brick on the inside by the booths are falling off or missing.
Small fixes like that and some updating and it’s a 5 star place.
It’s important to note, this will not keep me from going.
Parking: Pro tip, go out the back way that leads to 22nd street so you are not pulling into vines.
Way safer and easier.
Kid-friendliness: Dinner time, dine in is usually slower so we take our toddlers and it works fine.
Think crust cheese for the win!”

“Traveling as a family of 4 from Colorado, on our way home, we stopped in just before closing time. The service was amazing! The bathrooms were very clean and the food was hot and delicious. My husband was so tired after a long day of driving, as he was handing our kids their meals, he dropped the tray and spilled our food on the floor. Without us even asking, one of the servers was cleaning it up and ordering us another burger and fries on the house. As someone who worked in fast food as a teenager in the 90s and has traveled all across the US and have eaten at hundreds of different restaurants over the last 2 decades, I’ve not seen this kind of service since my glory days where excellence was not only taught but expected. This Freddy’s blew me away with not only how fresh the food tasted but also how kind and welcoming their entire staff was to us weary travelers. Well done! Those young people working there are the cream of the crop! Keep up the excellent work!”

“What a diamond in the rough!! We stop at Hays, KS often traveling back and forth between Colorado and Alabama. We are always looking for a better choice of restaurants rather than pub food. We found it tonight at Las Hafas. Awesome, fresh, delicious food for a super reasonable price. We sat at the bar. Israel was the bartender/server. He was friendly, attentive, and efficient. We are so glad we looked further than Trip Advisor, since Las Hafas is new and not recognized yet. Make a plan to have dinner there. Excellent drinks, too, for crazy good prices, and the homemade guacamole is fantastic. You will not be disappointed.”
