“Stopped in this classic A&W for dinner and it was fantastic! As always I like to do a breakdown for food scores and keep in mind I use Olympic scores like Dave Portnoy so anything above 7 is an excellent score.

- Service & Hospitality 9.5 very polite and felt welcomed there!

- Onion Rings 8.1 which is a monster score! I would travel 90 minutes just for the onion rings.

- Double Cheeseburger 7.6 It was very delicious, fresh, the bun soft and moist as if freshly made! Just doesn’t win out over the flamed broiled burgers at BK, if these were flame broiled they would be an 8.4 all day long :)

- Hot Dog 7.1 the dog was very delicious and tasted fresh like a ball park dog. The bun was a little stale which brought the score down and they forgot ketchup and mustard. They did bring some out afterwards. Very good dog though.

“I stopped in Russell for an overnight stay on my way to Denver. Dinner choices aren’t plentiful but I did see Peking Garden as an option. I ordered their house fried rice which included shrimp, chicken and beef. I also ordered their egg rolls. You had to order by phone and when they picked up I honestly had a hard time understanding them but I was able to get the order made. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. So I got ready and drove over there but got there a little early. When I went to the restaurant it wasn’t very impressive and the door into the restaurant wasn’t very stable. But I was met by a very friendly waitress and my meal was already packaged. I paid and went back to my hotel. Bottom line is this meal was one of the best I've had. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were amazing. Hard to imagine a Chinese restaurant like this in Russel, KS but it is definitely worth stopping and getting some amazing food. I will be heading back that way and will order again from these wonderful folks.”

“I was happy to support local coffee (both the shop and the roaster they source from, Little Cow Coffee)! My family enjoyed the quaint, brick-roaded downtown plus interesting items in the attached kitchen store, jewelry shop, and bookstore nextdoor.”

“It was ok except for the fact that it would have been nice to actually fold the sandwich without everything falling out. I did not have a stuffed sandwich that was hard to fold. She didnt even try kinda folded it and it was coming open as she was trying to cut it and everything just falling out right there.”

“I ordered a happy meal and the fries were old, cold and awful. Just because you put them in a kids meal doesn't mean you should serve them crappy cold food. Parents, check your kids food!!”
