Stopped in while traveling I70 and googling restaurants. Thought food sounded good. Good location. Service was slow. Waitress didn't know what the sides were, or how many came with meals or which meals had sides. Also wasn't sure what drinks they had and brought a wrong drink out. Food come out fairly quick and was piping hot. Chicken strips were flat so not alot of meat but tasted OK and so were fries. Corn was alright. Lemonade was good. The chicken fried steak meal with mashed potatoes was good and the fried okra was cooked perfectly. Sweet tea could have been sweeter but I am from the south. Overall I can see why local workers would eat lunch here but I would suggest something else if you're traveling through and want to set down and enjoy a good meal.

Seasoning is so important and we were delighted that Cattleman's Cafe knows what that is. Ribeye was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Ribs were fall off the bone tender and flavorful. And the ONION RINGS... wow! Batter dipped, with flavor and a big plate of them to boot. Happy service. A great experience.

Unexpected Quality, awesome atmosphere with excellent service and food portions! Nice casual restaurant with a homey feeling atmosphere! Immediate seating and server was taking good care of us!
Parking: Parking in front of Cattleman’s Cafe and guessing about 15 surface parking places!

Great home cooking. Huge glasses of sweet tea. Food was well seasoned. Meatloaf and chicken fried steak was delicious. Very inexpensive great food for a very reasonable price.
this will be a must stop every time we drive from Mississippi to Colorado!!
