I really enjoy the old time coffee shop vibe. They do not take card but have an ATM in the store. The donuts are good, but for some reason in Kansas it seems like there is a taboo with putting filling in long johns. Guess I should have asked if there was a filling before I bought two of them.

I don’t know how this place isn’t 5 stars across the board! Best donuts I’ve had in a long time!! Can’t speak to the staff (I didn’t pick up the order) but the donuts were amazing!! If I’m ever passing through Hays again I’ll be stopping!

I grew up with Daylight Donuts, they were much better then. Cash only in 2025? 15 donuts at 8am? Nobody has to care in Hays because there is no competition, and so nobody does.

I have had donuts from all over the USA, and these are truly the best. They are just slightly better than voodoo donuts from Portland Oregon, which has always been my favorite.
Suggestion: on the door or window of the store they need to up signs saying cash only.
My critique: they are usually out of donuts by 8:30am. The lady said they open at 4am and often have a line waiting as they are opening. That’s just crazy lol. Just open at like 7am so people can actually get donuts if they go there in the morning.
