Great food and big servings at Melanie’s Kitchen! We met the Filipino owner, and Nadine was so kind. The staff were all nice and welcoming.
We’ll definitely come back here the next time we visit Hays, Kansas.

The comfort of a home-cooked meal but the taste of a professional chef. My server was lovely and very busy but made time for everyone. I had bubble tea and the Kung Pao Chicken, which I highly recommend if you like spice. You can taste how freshly made the ingredients are. I travel for work and I’m adding this to my “must stop and eat” list.

Melanie’s kitchen is a great place to eat. Their staff is friendly, upbeat, and courteous. Our server was Lourdes and she was very attentive, informative, patient with questions, asked us if it was our first time, made suggestions from the menu, allowed us to ask questions and was very welcoming overall! We had the Chicken Pho, Sesame Chicken, Coconut Shrimp, Matcha Green Tea boba, and we had crab Rangoon as an appetizer. I saw other people had crab Rangoon as an appetizer as well. The coconut shrimp was the perfect hint of sweet and was very well cooked, the Chicken Pho has a lovely broth and if you like spicey they will give you spicey, it was very pleasing to the eye, the sesame chicken was the perfect mix of sweet and salty. The crab rangoons were folded in a way I hadn’t seen before and were the perfect soft and crunchy and the dipping sauce was great. The boba was really good too, nice portion size/price and had plenty of boba balls. The restaurant space was very open and clean feeling and felt good to sit in. There is a cool Asian market inside the restaurant as well. We will definitely be going back!

Excellent food. Is fresh cooked, so takes a little longer but worth it! She cuts her own vegetables fresh,.uses fresh seasonings, like ginger. Some of the best Asian food I have had. I live over an hour away, but enjoy it when I have the opportunity to eat there. Reasonable prices with large portions. Cashew chicken is my favorite. Highly recommend.

I've tried the other sushi places in town and this is the best. Save room for some mango sticky rice.

We were traveling from NC to SD and stumbled into Melanie's kitchen. The food was really good, the pork sisig and the sesame
chicken were tasty. The place was clean, and the service was excellent. Ms. Lourdes was fantastic, and so was the owner, Ms. Melanie. Highly recommended!

Authentic Filipino food here! Ate Melanie and Lourdes were so nice! Even if some of the food are available on specific day only, she went out of her way to cook them for us! If you call ahead of time to let her know, that’s way better. We live in Chapman so that’s 2 hours of drive. Worth it! My fave are Kare-kare, tinola and ginataang hipon. We tried the pansit, sisig and lumpia. Let me tell you! They are all so delicious! We are planning to go back again on Memorial Day weekend! I have to give her a call heresoon! 😊 she also has some Filipino grocery! 😊
