Worst food we ever had. The food was cold, had water mixed with it and was awful. Return the food for refund. Health Department should pay them a visit. Would not recommend Tryyaki Asian Cuisine. Save yourself time and money, go somewhere else.

We have been doing take-out lately and the food has been great. We find that one entre is enough to feed both of us a big meal. I like the Orange Chicken and she prefers the General, so we end up getting one of each. I add in a side order of sushi just for the fun of it. We get all of this (with rice and drinks) for around $20 and make 2-3 meals for each of us out of it. The dining area is small so I think they are currently drive-through only.

Driving through Hays, Kansas, we needed to find gas and a quick bite. We settled on Tryyaki, a small Asian restaurant. The food was cooked to order, so we had a bit of a wait in the smoky dining area. The couple running it was working very hard, so I wanted to love it. We ordered the Sesame Noodles which were very sweet, so most of them stayed in the dish. The Teriyaki Shrimp came on a bed of onions. The teriyaki sauce was flavorful, and not too sweet or thick. We were hoping for more vegetables than just onions. Still hungry, we ordered a California Roll, which was nicely presented, Our meal was a combination of hits and misses.

Could barely find the chicken in the Sweet & Sour chicken, mostly breading, served dry, with a contain of sweet & sour sauce on the side. Fried rice bland. Sushi warm and bland. Teryaki veggies cooked to death, just broccoli, carrot shred and cabbage, I think, was hard to tell what the mushy things were. Salad was just iceberg lettuce with bland dressing. Oh, and no wasabi for sushi. Egg rolls small and mostly crust. Did I say, bland?

We enjoyed the food. Each Asian type restaurant has its own style, including this one. Food quality and portions were very good. I would have to try more than a couple of the dishes before rating it higher, but it is definitely worth another visit.

Highly recommend! The tofu fried rice and lo mein are awesome! The noodle salad is top notch. Try the sushi too!

The hotel recommend this restaurant. The food was hot and delicious. Loved the appetizer menu. We found too many good options.

This food is amazing! We had the general chicken and orange chicken and we loved it. The kids loved the eggrolls and the crab rangoon as well. Plus it was not a long wait.

I was so glad when Tryyaki opened in Hays. I came from a big city and loved Chicken Terryaki which I could never find here. I have not had anything I haven't liked and especially like the sweet and sour chicken and California rolls. The pop is served in really small cups so I have learned to order a large pop to get enough to drink. They do have gluten free soy sauce as well.

Stopped here on way out to Western Kansas. Ordered the Beef LoMein and was shocked on how much they gave me. I was only able to eat a quarter of it and I was full, but I will say it was delicious. Glad I was able to send home the leftovers with my friend's daughter. Service was fast and the staff was very pleasant.

Ate lunch here. Pretty empty. I was the only one in here. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll Combo. Came with 16 pieces, salad, noodles, and a very small soft drink. The Spicy Tuna Roll was the spiciest I have ever had -- too Spicy for my liking (and I like Spicy). The rice was not very firm and the pieces fell apart too easily. The Tuna mixture was also too runny from the spices. The salad was drenched in way too much dressing (ask for the dressing on the side)! Could not eat it. The sesame noodles were cold and had an unusual taste from a sauce the were drenched in. I could not eat those. The drink was a 12 ounce drink, no refills. They do have a varied menu, and did see some other items that I could be interested, and prices are very reasonable. However, my overall thought on this particular meal was not good, and food went to waste. There are better Asian Cuisine places to eat at in Hays, and I will visit them, and know I will be satisfied with the food.

Although this is obviously Asian, they would benefit from more sushi on the menu. They fix it well, and the prices are good, but the selection is very limited. Seating is okay (no atmosphere) in a very small dining area, but the take-out and drive-thru business is good. Closed Tuesdays. This is probably the best sushi in Hays, just not enough menu choices for sushi-lovers. Fast, good, affordable!
