The lady I guess who is a boss was not friendly they charged me a fee on each item for using my cc the server never came back to the table to check on me. A couple walked in behind me and the lady behind the bar the boss I guess she was fake to them. If you don’t like your job then you shouldn’t be doing it. I know it’s wasn’t the server fault but come on be a better manager. My first time eating there and it will be my last.

Awesome BBQ! I had the manhandled sandwich & it was the bomb! 1/3 rack of ribs and they were delicious. Hand cut fries were outstanding. Topped it off with peach cobbler! Loved the outdoor seating. The service was excellent! I will return.

I was a frequent goer before they had closed. Have been 3 times since reopening and it has been as good as before! Different style than what would be in KC or similar but I always enjoy the Loaded fries and the different meats I've tried. Service is usually good and I will continue to go when I'm in town and want some BBQ!

We used to go to TK's at his old location down town hays. We found his new place on Vine and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is always clean the food is amazing and the hospitality is always top notch. You get your money's worth unlike some other restaurants

So I wanted to write a short review on customer service at TK's as I find it rather disappointing. I've eaten at this restaurant many times and have always loved it. I've been a loyal customer over the years and have always returned for barbecue. TK's definitely earned a negative review tonight. They have a no outside food and drink policy, which most places do. I understand the policy and what it stands for. They can lose sales if outside food or drink is brought in. Where restaurants often lose me, is when I'm not allowed to bring my own filtered water in. Water is free at most places. It actually costs them money to supply. Me, bringing in my own, hurts nobody and saves them money. A trivial issue, but one I refuse to budge on. An incident as simple as that lost them the 30+ dollars I was going to spend on food. Not only did it lose them that money, it also gave me a pretty bad impression on Terry and his business practices. Take it for what it's worth, but the aggression I was met with over me bottled WATER was enough to keep me away and also enough to make me want to let others know so they can avoid the place as well.

I don't have enough stars for my review. My family and I popped in for lunch during our road trip. The food is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! Wish I would've known of this place sooner. When you drive up it may look like it's just a bar inside. Don't drive by! Stop in! My 20 year old daughter was afraid we needed IDs to get in, but once we got inside she realized it was a full blown restaurant (that also serves alcohol). My daughter and I ordered the loaded baked potatoes and my son ordered the horseshoe burger! Wow!! Those French fries were so good! The potatoes were really loaded!!! I had a side of broccoli and look at the photos--when it's bright green you know it's perfectly cooked! Great food and our waitress Lexi was SO sweet, SO efficient!!!! We will be back when in Hays next time!!! Thanks for a great meal! I'm confused by some of the bad reviews but it appears there are some people trying to tarnish the reputation of this place.

I went with my 82 year old mom and was refused service because she couldn’t find her driver’s license. Owner was called over and had an attitude immediately. I expressed my dissatisfaction for not serving my 82 year old mother simply because she couldn’t find her ID. He then stepped around the bar and said to call the police because he wanted to put his hands on me but didn’t want to get arrested. (Would have been a big mistake for him). He then continued to yell as us to get out while my mom was still looking for her ID. She didn’t understand due to cognitive issues. Very unprofessional and simply despicable. This was the first time we had visited the place and will never be back. I understand this might be a “State Law”. However common sense is lacking here. No other Bar in Kansas refuses an 82 year old woman because she can’t find her DL. Which she did find in the car.
