I’ve tried Verdant twice now- once to celebrate Valentine’s Day & again to celebrate my birthday. Both instances the food & service was absolutely amazing! I was so impressed with the atmosphere & style of the restaurant-something new & modern which is much needed for Hays! I was also impressed with their menu! Great, unique dishes that are somehow so creative while still being a “safe” option for those who aren’t as adventurous with their meals. The flavors of any dish are perfectly curated & definitely not something you can get at another restaurant in town. The prices are so fair for the quality of food & the portion sizes are perfect, leaving me completely satisfied. I am so grateful to Austin & his team for creating a fresh & exciting restaurant environment for the people of Hays. I look forward to dining here again, hopefully SOON!

The food at Verdant is nothing short of exquisite. Each dish we had was beautifully plated and so delicious! Perfect for a date night, a special occasion, or any night you don’t want to cook!

I don't get these good reviews. Made reservations but got bumped for some reason so waited for 30 minutes to be seated. No service at 1 hour after being seated and then when we finally got our food it was terrible. Maybe the cook took the night off or maybe they ran out of good steak and went to the dollar store to replace it. Either way it was bad.

I never leave reviews but.....Hays Kansas you have a hidden gem!! We stopped in for lunch, on our way to Denver, the food was fantastic! Prices were super reasonable. Our waitress was also amazing! There are not many places you can get "Real Food" these days, this food was real.

The whole place just work! The food was amazing, unique, and played very professionally.
Highly recommend for a special night or for an above average meal.
They also have this separate room with a couch for like a small gathering, probably 10 people, so perfect for a fun dinner party night with friends!

It's always a great venue. The utmost quality of food and flavor over anything offered in Hays. The chef and serving staff are always kind even when our very busy children accompany. This is a must!
I came in with my 2 daughters because I saw great reviews! The service wash trash I am a server and the service we got was terrible!!! We had bugs crawling on the window we were seated at no big deal. The server took care of that I asked for prices on certain items she quoted me $7 for a mock tail and spiked was “$7 or $8” cool got my drink it was a great drink ! Then ordered got our food EVERYTHING WAS BURNT I asked the server is it supposed to be burnt she said “ oh haha maybe he just left it in the fryer too long” Mind you this is my first time here we ordered Brussels sprouts couldn’t even eat half of them because they were burnt so bad then my chicken parmigiana was hardly edible being so burnt I couldn’t even cut into it. She brought me the bill and the drink she quoted “$7-$8” was $10 she didn’t ask if we wanted the meal remade she simply laughed and said that’s how it’s supposed to be. I’ve never been to a “restaurant” or bistro where the food is supposed to be inedible burnt to crumbles and expected I didn’t want free food I just wanted a good meal for my daughters and I and this was The worst place I could’ve picked 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE And the serve had no clue what to suggest on the menu nor did she know any of the prices or up charges !! Way to run your “BISTRO” bc it’s literally BULLSHIT . Oh and the kids hamburger was $7 was literally the size of my thumb don’t put on your menu a hamburger put a SLIDER so people know what they’re ordering.
Kid-friendliness: Our server did bring kid cups for my kids which was great but the service besides that terrible
