“I rolled into this Sonic on 1st Street while driving through Hiawatha and it was the perfect pit stop. It is a classic drive-in setup where you just pull into a stall, which is great because I did not even have to worry about walking inside or messing up an order at a counter. The speaker system worked fine and the carhop who brought out my food was super quick and friendly. I ended up ordering a double cheeseburger, some tater tots, and a big cherry limeade to wash it down. The burger was surprisingly fresh and juicy with plenty of pickles, though I accidentally squeezed it a bit too hard and a blob of mustard landed right on my steering wheel like a total klutz. The tots were perfectly crispy and hot, and the drink had that perfect pebble ice that just hits the spot on a long drive. It is exactly what you want when you need fast, comforting food on the go, and I will definitely pull back in next time I am in the area.“

“Just moved here and wasn't sure what this was going to be like. We were greeted and the lady at the counter took our order with a smile. Pizza to table was about 10 minutes, and can't remember the last time we had a pizza done that perfectly! Great music was playing just loud enough to enjoy, but quiet enough to have a conversation. Thanks. Great little dinner.“

“I do like the food and convenience. However, I have NEVER been to this restaurant and gotten fresh french fries. Always cold and limp. It doesn’t matter if you are first in line at drive thru or have to wait. Food orders are cold at times, as well and no ice in drinks. However, the biggest complaint is the french fries! That’s the best part of the meal! Always cold!! Always! Ugh.“

“Sandwich was mid. Chips were too salty. Cookie was stale. The workers were stingy with the toppings. Decor was too modern. Pretzel was very greasy. Other than that, it was great! Plus, water is free!

Vegetarian options: Just don’t get meat on your sandwich.
