“We had supper here last night, and all I can say is “wow”! The restaurant building and decor were very classy. The staff was ALL very friendly and helpful. Even the bathrooms were classy and clean! But the food?? Out of this world! The appetizer was unreal. The steak was the best I have eaten, EVER. Even the vegetables (which are not my favorite thing mind you) were cooked and flavored well. And the desserts looked so good on the menu that we bought two to go and ate two there. The carrot cake was amazing, and the flambéed s’more (not what they called it) was…well, I don’t have words. It was exceptional! From the flaming presentation to the taste, this deconstructed s’more was outstanding. This place truly is a gem in the middle of rural Kansas, but would be a hit in the middle of Kansas City. We drove 2 hours and 15 minutes to eat here, and it was worth every minute. One last thing. I am all about people and stories, and the story and history behind this restaurant are really cool, and the people who work here are amazing. Such hearts to serve, and to provide a good dining experience. Thank you to Emily, Karen and everyone else whose names we never knew, for your dedication to serve. We will definitely be back.”
