“My husband and I travel 54 from Wichita to Missouri weekly, and just discovered this lil hidden treasure. We were so sick of the fast food choices along the route, so we decided to stop in. We know now why there were so many cars in the parking lot. We had the Tenderloin and Catfish Po Boy Sandwiches, and they did not disappoint! Called in ahead and got it to-go and kept on truckin down the road. Fast AND Friendly service! Thanks for a great experience!”

“They made a great ice cream cake for our baby shower/baptism. The blizzards, cones, and dilly bars have been great (and in stock) too. The new owners were friendly and helpful. The new extended hours have been great for grabbing ice cream after sporting events this summer. Looks like they are making improvements to the property and working hard to keep Dairy Queen open for years to come. Support your local businesses.”

“Had the opportunity to eat here twice during our visit to Chanute. First was during the busiest time of the year- the Artist Alley and the service was 5 stars and the food (pizza) was fresh and delicious. Our second opportunity came later that evening at our class reunion when the caterer we had scheduled messed up and didn’t show up (their review to come next). Opies management and dedicated staff made it happen and once again, the food (chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans) was fresh and delicious! “I ordered 2 wraps this afternoon. The young lady who worked the cash register must have been the shift leader as she ended up doing most of the work. She called for a girl to come out and wait for me this girl started making my wraps and then left after putting them in the heater to melt the cheese. She did not come back out despite repeated calls from one I assume was lead employee. Finally this young lady came over and finished the prep and packaged my wraps. I feel the girl who started them and left them unfinished should be fired. There is no excuse for this type of behavior. This occurred on Thursday, May 29 between 2pm and 3 pm. The gitl who would not finish wraps seemed to be very sour. She did not even ask me what I wanted heated with the cheese-just threw things on the wrap and put them in heater and never stayed around long enough to take them out and finish them. Young lady who ran cash resister, it is a shame you have to put up with working with that girl. She should fired for irresponsibility and poor customer care. She doesn't deserve to draw a paycheck and have you do half the work. The wraps by the way were great. I plan to come back but I hope that girl is no longer employed there. I rate you 5 stars but that girls deserves zero stars. Employees with an attitude like that deserve to be unemployed immediately.”
