I'm 50/50 on food here sometimes it's great sometimes it's too dry to to eat. The rolls of brown paper towels as napkins were horrible.

Traveled thru here from two hours away going back home. Food was hands down the BEST bbq I’ve ever eaten. And I’ve ate some good bbq. Absolutely amazing!!! However, the girl at the front with the piercings all over her face, was quite rude to my son asking about their wings. Not good to let an employee ruin the business when the food is so incredibly good. Place was clean. Restrooms were above clean and nice.

Generally I love Dickey's barbecue but this time around the server wasn't very nice or very sociable and the ribs were hard and dry. The brisket ends or also dry. The sausage was good and the beans and potato salad were good overall. Just disappointing

Excellent BBQ with a good selection of tasty meats on the menu. Downtown location is easy to find. Parking is on the street at the front door.

We'll not go again spent over $100 on ribs Biscuit and burnt ends and all the food was overcooked and dry
Lady who took our order, not welcoming to guest at all. No smile, unfriendly. chicken was cold and tough, been out for awhile. Drove from Tulsa. Wanted to try, wont be back. Macs bbq in Skiatook way better.
Have ate here before with few problems. However my wife and I ate here thus afternoon and it was Terrible. I ordered the 3 meat plate and the fries and bbq beans were the only things that were Hot and ok. The brisket and pulled pork were cold and the ribs were dried out and tasted old! Had to take stomach medicine and lay down when we got home! It literally made my stomach upset! If they are not keeping their meat at temperature others may suffer! Will be awhile before I return to dickey's if ever. And where's the ice cream machine?
We had our 50th Class Reunion at Dickey's & they were extremely accommodating for our group. Everyone ordered on their own - food or drinks & the food was delicious! They allowed us to decorate & literally gave us the entire building to use. Regular customers still came in while we were there but it all worked out. There comments to me when I thanked them was that they wanted our reunion to be the best & that they were there to serve us. I highly recommend this location for any event you may have.

We had our “Class of 1975” 50th Reunion held at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Independence, Kansas last night!! The owner, Marc was there from Arizona with two friends to make sure our event went smoothly and was special for us! Marc and his staff were extremely accommodating and made our night memorable. The barbecue food was Excellent and cash bar was available! I highly recommend any event there OR just to go and enjoy scrumptious food and drink!

This location of the Dickey's restaurants is by far the best atmosphere i have seen. This location looks to be the potential far a nice steak house. I truly think they should expand there menu to reflect this buildings potential.

Menu board prices do not match what you are charged when food is rung up. It may be only 50 cents more per item, it adds up. Honesty goes along way!
