If a little Western, Gunners is a great place to just relax, listen to music, enjoy a cool Beverage, play pool dance some, listen to a band once In a while and Sing Karaoke on a Friday night, just a small place in Independence Kansas, with a great Country feel Matt Cox and Staff are great folks..

Now called Il Pirata. Fantastic food. Pork cheeks and lamb cutlets were perfect. Big wine list. Great view. Safe from the blustery winds inside the tent. Friendly staff who didn’t fuss over you.

We’ve been here almost 3 times in the last week, the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. Prices are fairly reasonable given the high quality of food. My favorite is the macaroni with sausage cream sauce/ragu.
