Excellent food, friendly service (and fast), generous portions (always need a to-go box), nice homey atmosphere, always clean. My neighbor and I go there often as it's only about a mile from where we live. One of our favorite places in all of KC, and handier than any other.

I like their burnt end sandwiches they're always a fast thing for meals on the go but ask for sauce on the side. Also you can't beat their ribs

Rusty and (I think) his brother are both perfect for the business of making people enjoy a good meal with a nice environment, pleasant employees (management, cooks, and servers) and great food.. It's obviously a family tradition to smoke the bbq and serve it to longtime customers and friends.

Outstanding food. Been doing barbecue longer than most of the places in the area. Engineered their own smoker, resulting in some of the most consistent and tender meat that falls of the bones.

Ordered a slab extra sauce delicious still have two ribs left that's how big it was
My first time eating real Kansas BBQ and it was DELICIOUS!!! I had brisket and ribs, steak fries, baked beans and a soda. My favorite were the ribs and the baked beans. Some locals recommended this restaurant and I'm so glad they did. I will definitely eat here again. I did use the restroom and I will say it needs a little updating.
Great service and tasty food. We got the platter. Very good portions and flavor. Will be coming back soon
I've been here a few times as it's not far from my work. Always friendly and quick service. Their sauce is different from any other I've had around town. It's a bit thinner and not as sweet. It adds nice flavor without overpowering the meat. Usually, I just get a beef sandwich, but today, I tried their rib dinner. I chose waffle fries and bbq beans as my sides. Those beans were hands down the best beans I've had in KC! They were sweet, smokey, and meaty with just a little spice. So good!! The waffle fries were ok. Ribs were tender but not mushy and they were thick. Not too fatty. I really liked them. Five ribs, 2 sides, and bread for $15.99 is a great deal. I'll definitely be back.
Good pulled pork and Mac and cheese. I really liked the BBQ sauce, too! Our server was great.

I had a fantastic experience at Big Q BBQ. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. Although I'm not from Kansas City, I really enjoyed the flavors. The place was spotlessly clean, and the service was excellent. On top of that, the meal for two was very affordable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

Big Q catered a memorial we had for my father in law. The set up was prompt. We had plenty of food. Even enough for days of leftovers. I believe it was the owner who stayed the entire event making sure everything was warm and full. And the best part was everything we had ordered was DELICIOUS. We can be picky about our BBQ and my father in law was a BBQ guy. So this meal was important and it went above and beyond our expectations. I had brought in some baked goods that my FIL loved, but I had forgotten a pie server. The man (I think owner) went back to his restaurant and got one for me to use. He was so kind and I will be dreaming about the potato salad.

Let me say the service was top notch and friendly, and the seating and parking were great for our large crowd of 10. The fries were amazing, though more just seasoned, rather than "spicy" as it says on the menu. Unfortunately, for this Texan family the brisket and pulled pork were dry and bland
