Brown Sugar Chicken & Donuts

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!! 100% honesty my husband and I drove from Grain Valley to try this spot. I was skeptical, and the drive didn't help. 10000000000000% worth the drive! The service is amazing! Friendly. Attentive. I loved it. But let's get to the chicken! Lord thank you! I can't describe the joy we had eating! Amazing amazing amazing chicken! Hot. Juicy. Fresh. Full of flavor. I had wings AND tenders!! I'm talking BOTH! The breading, seasoning, I could go on! I have to shout out the MAC AND CHEESE AGAIN! It is the BEST Hands down! (And I worked in the industry for 13yrs!) The best I've ever tasted in a restaurant!!! I ate mine, and ordered more to take home. Just ate it a day later and it's STILL BOMB! I'm upset I didn't get more! And the donuts... lord! Icing on the cake! This food taste like HOME!!! Like your Grandma's chicken and your mama's Mac ND cheese! Please please please support! I'm pushing them on my FB, IG, Snap, TikTok, the whole 9!!! Hidden gem!!! Try try try! We will be new regulars!!! Thank you Brown Sugar!!!

The ladies in here were nice. I have no issue with thecustomer service. However, the food was not good. I'm sorry. I had wings, the chicken sandwhich, fries and the waffle. The waffle was the best part. I spent $50 in this place. I got garlic parm wings. They were not good. I ended up grabbing a burger afterwards because my food hit the trash. The loaded fries might be good but plain fries are worst than Wendy's fries. Eat at your own discretion.

The fried chicken doughnut breakfast sandwich was amazing! The woman who I believe was the owner was very kind and helpful! I will be back to try something else on the menu!!

This place was fantastic. The owner was super friendly, and I can't overstate how delicious the chicken and donut sandwich was. The original is sweet, but I ordered the deluxe option which included an egg and bacon, which helped cut through the sweetness and balanced it out. The chicken inside was moist and brought the whole thing together.Didn't have the wings, but based on how good the sandwich was I'm ready to head back just to give them a try.

Horrible service! They forgot several items we paid for. They were out of doughnuts yet didn’t offer to make it right. Also forgot sides . We had to drive back to get meals we paid for and then they still forgot a side salad. Would never recommend this place and cannot believe how horrible the service is.

Drove 40 minutes to try this place after seeing it on IG. We had really high hopes and were excited. When we got there the cook/owner? seemed to have an attitude and we did not feel welcomed. The young guy up front at the register was great, very professional. Wasn’timpressed with the food. The waffle was generic and tasted like continental breakfast. They were out of the chicken tenders for the chicken and waffles so had to get the wings barely had any meat. Breakfast potatoes were good. Biscuits and gravy were meh. Disappointed after having such high hopes probably won’t be back.

Been wanting to try this for a while, finally went today with my kiddos. Not impressed at all… service was okay, there was a young guy in the front, and the place was empty. Tried the wings, and they where not tasty at all … I could of went to kfc and got better tasting ones. The sides where ok but I’ve had better. The donut chicken deluxe was Good, the tatter tots where something you could get at Walmart. Over all I don’t think I will be back, wasn’t impressed.

Absolutely delicious! Crispy chicken and the fritter is Devine. 10/10 treat yourself and head over for breakfast

It saddens me to write up this review since I have been going to this place since they opened early last year.On Sunday 5/30/21 at 1:11PM I placed an online order for 50 wings to be picked up at 4:45PM. On the online order I made two different notes to roll the wings in the blazing brown sugar sauce. Shortly after I placed the online order a Brown Sugar staff member phoned me and asked me to pick up at 4:30PM instead of 4:45PM, I agreed and while I had the Brown Sugar staff member on the phone I again requested the wings to be rolled in the sauce and the staff member said yes. Later in the day I arrived right at 4:30pm per Brown Sugar staff member only to be told I would have to wait ten minutes, ended up being more like 20 minutes. When my wings were ready – the staff member said to me that they ran out of sauce so he could not roll the wings and was that okay? I told him it was not really okay and that was the purpose of me placing the order on line 3 hours prior. He threw in two slices of cake. I did not want cake I wanted my wings rolled. The wings were not “the bomb” like I had told my entire party I was serving. I as so disappointed with my service.

Nice food, and great people. Love it, stop by if you are in Kansas. We drove from St. Louis and enjoyed it.

Amazing doughnuts!! They're so fluffy on the inside. Chicken sandwich and brisket fries were awesome too.

The loaded brisket fries are Fiyah! Great customer service, clean, & i love the art for sale. I will be back.

I ordered the grilled chicken Wyandotte fries!!! And WOW they are amazing!! I cant wait for kids to try their donuts. I definitely will be going back!
