I had the smothered pork chops with rice and collard greens. The chops were very well seasoned and the gravy was excellent. It paired well with the savory flavored rice. The collards were top notch - they were tender with a kick and served with generous portions of meat.The service was great! I went close to closing so I had the owner all to myself. We joked about me being a messy eater and how cornbread must be accompanied by honey.I highly recommend this restaurant!

Hot, fresh, and home made. Came in on a Tuesday and it was quiet but definitely has space to get busy. Great service, and food wasn't sitting in a window on a slow day. They did the dang thing. I had a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and yams, okra, and my friend ordered shrimp and chicken with red beans/rice and Cole slaw. Everything fantastic.

This is a Hidden gym in Kansas City Kansas. The jalapeño cornbread, and the chicken wings are fire! The people who own this place are fantastic folks. If you've not yet tried this place, you are really missing out.
