Situated several blocks off of any major street, Edwards Corner Deli is right in the middle of a neglected neighborhood west of Strawberry Hill. It is situated in a house and serves as a neighborhood market, deli and grill. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and fries. Plenty of meat and grilled perfectly. The fries were unique and tasty with a crunchy outer coating. I would encourage anyone to give Edwards a try if you are in the area, not specifically for the food but to see an old fashioned urban corner market still in operation. They still have old time equipment in use and artifacts such as an old pay phone behind the counter. There are only 4 tables that can seat about 10 people. It's not quite a museum, but more interesting than just a deli. They also serve Nathans hot dogs, pizza, burgers and full deli selection. The owner is on site and very personable.

My coworkers and I frequent this deli often as it's in close proximity to our job. The food is cooked to order and is always delicious. I have ordered a number of food items off the menu, chicken wings, pizza, Philly cheesesteak, Reuben sandwich, fries; but I'm not quite sure which is my favorite as they're all sooo good. Staff is extremely friendly and you can tell they live up to the bodega store vibe by the relationship they have with customers that live in the surrounding neighborhood.
