This is one of the great spots in KC for Mexican food. No frills, just fantastic food, good people, and great prices. My favorites are the al pastor and the cabeza, but the asada is killer as well. Also they pour a really great michelada.
I really enjoyed the carne asada and el pastor. I researched a good bit before deciding on this location, as I wanted some really great tacos, and the locals seemed adamant that this was the place to go. Can't say they were wrong! Great reasonable prices as well.

September 4, 2024. 5:00 pm approx. I decided to go into the restaurant because I saw the top through the window while I was at the traffic light on 7th Street, (the first time I have seen a top beyond the states on the border with Mexico). I ordered tacos de pastor and asada, I was surprised by the amount of meat and flavor of the taco al Pastor, which was very good, prepared directly from the trompo...
