Food was so good and the service was friendly, if you haven't tried salvadorean food before this is a good place to start. We went for breakfast, the pupusas and salvadorean breakfast plate with eggs was delicious. Less than $20 for 2 people. The inside was kind of grungy and lacking in ambience, this is more of a working class/ construction worker place, which means the food is good, but don't expect white table cloths. Definitely check it out!
It happened to us that the slices with chicken were raw, and my child took a couple of bites of the chicken, but he couldn't eat the slices that were raw, we called the waitress to change his plate, she removed the plate and gave him They served something else. At the time of paying, the son (greedy woman) wanted to make the cashier charge half a plate for the bite that the child took of the chicken, and that seemed impassable to me, her actions bothered me.
We spent 4 years in Nicaragua and accidentally came upon this restaurant one weekend we were in Kansas City. It was very authentic and the atmosphere was very much like you would see in El Salvador or Nicaragua. My husband and I loved it and will be back.
