Love this place. I'm only giving it 4 stars. Very spicy than any Cajun I've ever eaten. Couldn't enjoy it. They give you French bread with a very tasty butter. Our server Javi was awesome. Don't know how he remembered our choices (3 in party). He never wrote it down.

My wife and I weren't impressed. Good service though
The chef clearly puts passion into every dish – simply outstanding.

I had Cajun spice fried shrimp with a side of slaw. Shrimp were very small l, very few, and very poorly seasoned. Can’t get French fries. Jazz doesn’t serve them. WIERD. I’ve been to
N.O. MANY times. You can’t order fried shrimp, or a Po Boy that doesn’t come with fries. Waitress was abrupt but did bring our food out quickly. I did not choose Jazz—was at the one in midtown kc several years ago and didn’t like it either. I won’t go again.

Great place to eat
The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere took me right back to the heart of New Orleans. I had the blackened tuna steak with hollandaise sauce. It was the best tuna steak I have ever eaten. It was cooked just right and had so much flavor sealed. I had a chocolate martini where the chocolate wasnt overpowred by the taste of vodka. I could drink those all day long. The service was quick and very friendly.

The place was alright. Welcoming darker ambience with live music and interesting wait service made the evening go by faster. Food was ok, feels like it was cooked far from Louisiana. I had a blackened catfish fillet. Must I say it was pricey.

Weve been to Jazz twice. First time everything was great. The second time was last night and will probably be the last. Ill start with the good, my husband loved his alfredo, and the krab kakes were perfect. Now to my dish, the cajun chicken. The coleslaw (I like coleslaw btw) it was literally wet tasteless cabbage, sent it back and she replaced it with mashed potatoes (ok whatever) but my hush puppies were so hard, couldnt even stab my fork through them. I got a side of hush puppies that came with my meal, but my husband ordered some also (5 pcs). They were all like that. Sent those back for fresh ones and they came after we was already packing up our leftovers, not to mention we only got five so my three hush puppies didn't get replaced. The waitress said she would comp them since we couldnt enjoy them with our meal, but the manager wouldnt allow it since they just had to comp a meal for pouring a guys gumbo on his lap (we was there to witness it). The chicken was stringy and tough. Cooks were laughing and cracking jokes so much maybe they were distracted. Still gave a good tip cuz the waitress was nice! But worst $75 ive spent.
