The food was amazing!! The smoke on the BBQ was perfect. The portions were huge! The staff was very friendly and attentive. We loved it. We will be back.

Holy Pepper!!! If you like black pepper this is your jam. If you like food that is palatable I would look elsewhere. While in Kansas City, I thought I should get some BBQ. I chose the wrong place. I ordered the 4 meat sampler for 4 to 5 people. It included brisket, turkey, burnt ends, and pork belly burnt ends. All of this came with ribs and four sides. Not worth the $50. I got better tasting BBQ at the Great Wolf Lodge Bar and Grille. The ribs came with a generous black pepper rub. Well cooked but the only flavor that came through was the black pepper crust. The brisket was dry and similar to peppered beef jerky. The pork belly burnt ends were not trimmed and primarily just 5 pieces of fat. Not the good melt in your mouth kind, but chewy fat you spit out immediately. The turkey was as expected, not moist but also edible. The sides were less than desirable, again, more black pepper. The mac and cheese was so peppery that my children couldn't even eat it. The fries were covered in pepper. The corn bread did not contain any pepper but was dry, flavorless, and crumbly. We did not receive the burnt ends initially and had to call and drive back to get them. The 5 we received were not worth all of the hassle of driving back. The burnt ends were square cut pieces of brisket. Not coated in a nice thick caramelized sauce. They also were slightly chewy and did not melt in your mouth. The service we received did try to make up for the mistakes made by adding extra Mac and cheese and fries which also were extremely peppered.Overall very disappointed with the quality of food received and would encourage anyone staying at the Great Wolf Lodge to just eat the BBQ at the Lodge instead of venturing out to this establishment.

Lots of food, brisket thick and tender, Mac and cheese good. Didn’t like the bake beans so I substitute it with a salad. The salad was great! They were nice about it! Waitress was busy but still nice and attentive. I think her name was Jen! Food came out Fast!! Overall great experience and will come back! Only thing I would suggest is they put sports on the TVs! They had something weird playing on all the tv’s

Ordered the ultimate platter. Service was great because they called me back as soon as I put in my online order and made sure I was taken care of and given an estimate time before food was ready for pick up. Food was surprisingly good and in my own personal honest opinion, it was better than a few other chain BBQ restaurants. Amazing sweet BBQ sauce and they were very generous on serving size. Got these sides: beans, cheesy corn, potato salad and vinegar slaw. Although I wasn't a fan of the slaw, I improvised and mixed their slaw with the cheesy corn. The result was a light taste, crunch and a good balance of flavor. Will definitely try the sweet potato fried and corn bread next time.

From MN, visiting family in KC and ya gotta try the local BBQ joints, the food was awesome and the servers were full of personality. Great place.

Pretty clean place, bbq is not the best, but it's pretty good if you have a craving. Close to legends. The burnt ends sandwich and half slab of ribs were good. I like both the spicy and regular bbq sauceI would recommend visiting at least once to try it out.

The food was so delicious and generously portioned. The staff is friendly and inviting. The pork belly burnt ends are a must have! Every side I got was amazing. I will definitely be going back to try out their sandwiches. Don’t forget to get a side of their homemade pickles and pickled red onions. If you love a little bit of heat, I definitely recommend their pickled jalapeños.

My wife and I dined in on July 19th for a late lunch. We had a great experience. This was our first time (we are not from KC) , so we asked for recommendations when we ordered. The gentleman suggested burnt ends and the KC Que tine if we wanted something a bit different. We decided on his suggestions and added some pulled pork. For sides we did the beans and the vinegar coleslaw. The burnt ends were fantastic. I tried the sauces on the table as well as the optional spicy BBQ. They had great flavor. Texture of the burnt ends was great. They had the perfect amount of fat. My wife had the pulled pork and she loved it as well. The beans had great flavor and were a good blend of sweet and vinegary. The vinegar coleslaw was the only mediocre item on our main dish. It was good just would not get it again. The star of the meal was the KC Que Tine. I think I ate the majority of it. All of the flavors were very complimentary. Nice blend of sweet, salty, and spicy flavors. You really get a good balance with hot and cold temperatures from the different ingredients as well as crunchy and soft. Great dish!We were overall very pleased, and will give it another try next time we are in KC

Nice place. Very clean and I LOVED the brisket, didn't use any sauce. The beans were good and meaty but a bit too tangy for my tastes.

Great spot for BBQ. The burnt ends were probably my favorite. The ribs had a real nice flavor and came off the bone with ease. The cheesy corn and baked beans were my favorite sides. The Mac and cheese was overpowered with pepper and the corn bread was average. Will be returning to try out more of the menu!

I’ve never been to a restaurant in my life where the food was just inedible, but this was. The texas toast was not toasted, just a sad piece of bread with cold mostly fatty meat. The cheesy corn was luke warm at best. The only edible part was the fries, and they were just okay. It was over $20, and if I would have known what it was like, I would have never paid for it.

Didn’t care for the beans, mac, or coleslaw. The ham was ok. Just not a fan after giving them a 2nd try from the first time when our food was cold. Won’t return.

Jousting Pigs has a great drive up system to get food. We enjoyed the pulled pork Mac n cheese and the burnt ends. The spicy cheese curds are definitely SPICY! Everything was good and way better than every chain restaurant near Legends! Not the best BBQ in Kansas City, but the best in the Legends/Piper area.
