The packaging of Kansas City steaks really stands out. I live in AZ and heat can be an issue but with the dry ice it has not be a problem. The steaks are delicious in my opinion!! Juicy and fresh. Melt in your mouth filets. The customer service cannot be beat!

Steaks had an odd taste. I spent about $200 on this meat, and now we have two almost full boxes of steaks that we don't plan to eat. Based on the reviews that I'm seeing now (too late), it appears that this company just sends out garbage and absorbs the cost of dealing with the complaints. Here's a suggestion - IMPROVE YOUR QUALITY rather than putting resources into dealing with complaints case-by-case. Pitiful.

The steaks were tough as shoe leather, poorly trimmed with tons of fat. UGH! The twice baked potatoes were equally gross. The halved a potato but did not scoop out the inside of each half. Just added some cheese and bacon on top of the unbaked potato half. The seasoning was so salty we had to throw it in the trash. If you love your relatives, don't sent this crap to them as a gift!!

I ordered these steaks for my parents as a Christmas present. Many of the steaks weighed in at less than the weight posted. I emailed the company about my concern, but received no reply. In addition, some of the cuts appeared to be pieced together instead of a butcher cut as stated. My father reported on filet and one strip steak in the order were like this.

I received one of their Surf & Turf dinner for two as a holiday gift from my Brother.We were excited looking forward to a nice dinner although both the tails and filets were small combined it would have made a nice dinner.AnywayWhen we opened it the lobster tails were bad one had green ooze coming out of it,So I called them and told the rep abut the tails, he responded did I think they were bad?? d*** question so I responded would you eat them. He was pleasant though and said he would send me out a replacement order but the tails were out of stock so we had a wait a month!I received the shipment today and expected to see tails and Filets.No just tails. You would expect after getting a bad order they would at least send you a complete dinnerReally

Bought the Prime 10oz filets they arrived took 4 out(defrosted via the directions 24 hours in the fridge) for family dinner two of them leaked blood in the fridge (they were in what appeared to be vacuumed sealed packages) the other 2 where very lose in the "vacuumed sealed packages". As they arrived frozen I wasn't worried about them and cooked them to 120 degrees via sous vide. Then seared them in a smoking hot cast iron(temped the before I pulled them they where 125 degrees) Let them rest for 10 mins. I've had better choice filets from the local grocery store and better prime filets from sams club. For being a "top notch restaurant quality" steak distributor i was very unimpressed and quite disappointed in the quality of the stakes they tasted like USDA select they where not tender at all and had very little flavor(for filets i mean)

Kansas City Steak Company. Worst online buying experience ever. When they were out of stock on Beef Wellington, they substituted HAMBURGERS! Their 24/7 customer service took four days to respond to my calls and emails. Then, unapologetically, told me that they would be shipped at the end of January. I cancelled the order.The "owner" that responded to this called the problem a "mispack." How can you mispack something that's not in stock, according to the website? I sent an email reply to customer service to request a refund, but the "owner" obviously hadn't checked the emails. I think it's odd that they've shipped an item that was not due to be back in stock until the week of January 25th according to their customer service rep.

I have been ordering Christmas gifts for friends, family, and co-workers for a number of years now. Nice quality steaks are always a nice gift for meat lovers, especially during the pandemic. This past Christmas I entered my normal orders for people I care about. Their website is very user friendly and it is nice because it has an address book for people you regularly send gifts to. I completed my orders just after Thanksgiving to make sure everyone received their gifts by Christmas as well as take advantage of discounts and free shipping. Midway through January my sister, who was one of the people I ordered steaks, asked me if I had sent them something totally unrelated for Christmas. Apparently they had gotten a gift and had no idea who it was from. I said no, I sent steaks, did you get them? She said no, so I immediately went online and found my order for her. Well, to my dismay I had chosen her old address from my address book, so the steaks were sent to the wrong address. I immediately called KC Steaks and explained what happened. My intent was to place another order for my sister, but wanted to see if I could get the same discount and free shipping. After looking up my order, I was told that he had some bad news. He said they would replace my order free of charge and that she would receive it by the end of the week! I was so amazed that I actually started to cry. He said we are doing this hoping that you will order from us again in the future. In a time of such hostility, I was deeply touched by the gesture. That was $300 worth of steaks they were replacing free of charge, no questions asked. This review is the least I can do. So very nice to see there are still people and companies out there that truly appreciate and care for their loyal customers. If you want to send a nice gift of quality steaks to someone you care about, choose Kansas City Steaks. They are a quality American company that makes you proud to be an American.
