They take too long to serve, I ordered a grilled steak and it was too oily, the dish is super loaded with carbohydrates, a lot of rice, a lot of potato and carrot with too much mayonnaise, less is more gentlemen. Even if it is not a healthy restaurant, they take better care of their customers. I return to a restaurant for its good seasoning and not for the quantity. It's the 3rd time I've gone but also the last.

Came to from Texas for the holidays and was craving chilaquiles. I found El Torito through a Google search. Pictures and reviews were good so I took my family there. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted right away. Not sure if the heat was broken or just off. It was 37 degrees outside and it was not much warmer inside. The staff and customers were all wearing their coats. The menu was impressive! Living in TX and traveling to MX frequently we are quite picky. El Torito did not disappoint in the food department! I will say that my family had a bit of difficulty ordering their meals because the menu was in Spanish and our waitress did not speak English. She went to get someone else to assist. We ate quickly because our hands and faces were so cold. Delicious meal! No one ever came back after we received our food. I went to ask if we could get our bill and I waited awhile before someone came to help me. They seemed upset I came up to the counter so it was awkward. The total was $40 for 3 meals and 3 Coca-Cola's. I tipped $10 because the food was good and I felt bad for the staff because it was so cold. I did not appreciate the service we received. I speak basic Spanish and I did my best to communicate. I would have thought that the staff would have been more polite. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for the yummy food, and I will give it another chance when I visit next.Vegetarian options: You can ask for no meat or cheese.

They were very busy the day we came, so it could be they were overwhelmed. Service was a little lack luster. We had to request for a table to be cleaned and it took awhile before anyone came to take our order. Deducted one star for that. That being said the food was A-Ma-Zing!!! You got 2 choices for salsa and was definitely bringing the heat. So delicious!! You got plenty of meat with the orders as well as cheese. Definitely worth the wait and plenty to take home with you. I got a margarita and it didn't really have much alcohol, especially for the price. Will skip that option next time. Took away one star for that.
