Old school style burger joint with quick and extremely friendly service, the ladies working at the front were so kind and funny. Great burgers and i loved the onion rings as well. Fair prices and good portions.

My husband was a patient at KU Med for 6 days. I went on Google to find a place that served "hamburger baskets" Quickies came up (thank you). I WAS NOT disappointed! The hamburger and fries were so good I was there 4 of the 6 days of his stay. The people working there each day they would ask about my husband. I live 85 miles away and had explained I had Googled to find them. Anyway they were so very kind and always wished me a safe journey home. I ABSOLUTELY will go back when I'm "in the city". Oh, get the Quickie sauce for your fries, you can thank me later ??

Talk about crunch!!! Best onion rings, I swear it on the holy Bible itself!! This is a whole-in-the-wall kinda experience. If you don't believe me see for yourself, there's more to the menu than just onion rings but still, this place has good food.

First time trying it and wasn't disappointed at all. The decor and design give you a nostalgic feeling. Only offer take-out. We got the shrimp basket and daughter really enjoyed it. Also got the triple combo with onion rings and the taste was impeccable. Lastly, The Q was perfectly made and the taste was top-tier. These pics don't do them justice.
Food wasn’t good. I could tell the owner was in a bad mood. Cool little place tho.

Was downtown and wanted to search for a hole in the burger place to try.The nostalgia factor was very high and being new to the area I thought Quickies was around since the 50s.Food was ok at best. Burger wasn’t super flavorful which disappointed me and was surprised that they used Cheddar as their cheese (nothing against cheddar, it doesn’t melt like American does and it hardens quickly)Probably wouldn’t go back.

Great little throwback burger place. Had an excellent burnt end sandwich and onion rings for their Thursday special. Been here a long time. New owners have fixed it up and food and service are very good. Reasonable prices.

After reading the reviews online about how good the onion rings were, I decided to give them a try. I had the Bleu Burger, onion rings with a shake. I can honestly say that's the best burger combo I've had since living in kc since 2003. This is my new spot.
