The best tamales!

Susan Ortega

The tamales are absolute heaven! The bakery has raspberry coconut jelly roll cake that is the best I've ever had.

The absolute BEST BAKERY around!!

Peter Ogan

Wow, love that I ran into this spot. Takeout only. Bakery in the front with delicious smells and sights assaulting all the senses. Room to the left has food. There is no menu, what you see is what you can get. Hearty burritos, tamales and more. You can get Menudo by the gallon! Everything I tried is delicious.

Parking: Easier to park on the side street than the main.

Paid in advance for 70 pieces to be picked up at 8am, the cashier was rude and said bread was going to be ready until 930am, then said only 50 pieces were made, why would you take the money and not deliver and on top of it being rude about it!! As much as like their bread, will be taking business somewhere else.

The best Mexican bakery in KC, and theres a secret food spot inside serving hot food (no name, no menu, whatever they cooked for that day) with like 2 small tables to sit, or take it to go. Either way you already know what that means! -Get ready to eat-

This place is so good. You walk in. Grab a tray and tongs and you pick out whatever you want out of the bakery case. Everything is a dollar and a quarter. I bought eight different items. I have no idea what they were but they were all great. On the opposite side of the bakery is a very authentic Mexican quick serve fast food diner. From what I see, there's no menu, I've ordered by pointing at things and writing down in Spanish what I like and they come up with a dish. Dish. Very reasonable price and wonderful. I highly recommend

Everything is fresh. I remember my mom and family going there when I was a child. You have to be up early to get there while food is coming out. You wait to long, show up and food is gone! Lol snooze you lose concept. What I could recommend is their Menudo, carnitas, pan blanco (white bread), pan dulce (Sweet bread), sugar twist, glaze donuts, tamales (Red, Green and cheese). Everything that I've tasted -you can taste the love.
