We ate there at the restaurant a week ago. It was so good that I thought I would surprise the family and ordered it to be delivered via uber. I got the food home and it was disgusting, flavor, nothing like eating there in person. There went 140 down the tube. DON'T GET IT TO GO, EAT IT THERE.

Great KC BBQ!
We actually found this place by mistake - expecting to have a Kansas City, Missouri BBQ, but ran into this Kansas City, Kansas BBQ. Unsure if it was due to being so close to the state border - anyway, the food was phenomenal. Almost too much to eat, in light of sharing plates with two others. BBQ sauce for both sweet and hot was wonderful. Pulled pork, turkey, sausage, and beef were impressive, to say the least. I will return for more.
If you want barbecue don't go anywhere else. It is the idyllic setting. Rooftop eating. Be prepared to wait at times, but trust me it is worth it.
If you are in Kansas, you need to stop by!
Best ribs and BBQ sauce in KC
Classic KC barbecue joint. Freshest ribs of any of the popular BBQs around here. Brisket and burnt ends are the best!
Classic counter-served BBQ. I got the ribs and burnt tips and they were amazing. Make sure you get there a decent time because by the time I left there was a line down the sidewalk!
Pretty disappointed in Slaps lately. The last 2 visits were not what I am used to. I had a pickup order and had to wait an additional 45 minutes after the time it should have been ready... I thought ehhh it's a 1 time situation. But today I had placed an order to pickuo st 5:15 and when I got there all of my sides were missing. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for them to make it. Once I drove 30 minutes home I realized 1 of my sides were missing.
The best part of Kansas City is having so many good barbecue places throughout all of KC! Here's another place you must visit!

Was on the road and needed some actual bbq and not that stuff they call bbq in Arkansas.. anywho, this place was great! Definitely hit the spot and will be back in the spring. Smoked our last bit of flower before entering so this hit extra hard.

Hands down the worst ribs I have ever had. Meat tasted boiled and absolutely NO seasoning. There was a smoke ring but no smoke flavor. Only seasoning was lightly sprinkled on top after the ribs were cooked.
Brisket was ok at best and had sweet BBQ on it. Immediate no for me. Brisket should never be smoked with or finished with a sauce.
Sausage was good and burnt ends ok.
Sides were like the kind you get in an elementary school cafeteria. Baked beans were inedible, canned with a bottle of sweet BBQ sauce dumped on top. This was my first time. I probably wouldn't't bring anyone here.

Delicious BBQ, we got two sampler platters for four people and it was a lot of food. We had leftovers for another meal. The ribs were excellent and I liked their sides. Will visit again when I'm back in town.

I got two sandwiches and a side of fries with one drink and it cost me $44. It's good but it's definitely not THAT good.
