Update: Good Bye. Love this Starbuck, always visit every chance I got when I stop by. A lot memories since college. Sad. Will treasure the memories of this Starbucks. Miss you.Good coffee. Awesome area but very crowded. Maybe during week is best time to go instead weekend. Always visit this spot every chance I return to Kansas.

Store closed due a fake security issue! It was great till we found out Starbucks ( one of the first wave) shut its doors and claimed they did so for the security of their employees! That is one of the oldest Starbucks in the country it's one of the oldest businesses on the plaza, and it lost many good people their jobs and lively hood! With it closing that's just one more reason to not only stop going to Starbucks but to also stop going to the plaza! To many of the stores that make the plaza worth going are forced out due to rent hikes, or like Starbucks dipping out with no respect for their employee's well being mental health or housing situation just because something happened several blocks outside the plaza (Starbucks quoted reason for closing the store) companies like this need a reality check but are to large to care and its infuriating!

Goodbye Starbucks, this location is now permanently. It was one of the best Starbucks’ location in the area. In the news,“On August 22nd at 3:30 p.m., your Starbucks Country Club Plaza location at 302 Nichols Rd. will be permanently closing,” the sign said. “We would like to thank you for being part of our store community; you are the heart of who we are at Starbucks.”

Power to the unions! Shame on Starbucks for shutting down this location for attempting to unionize. What Starbucks is doing is illegal, and I hope the employees at this location file charges for violating their rights under the National Labor Relations Act. Starbucks claims they closed the location for "safety reasons," which they are doing across the country. This is a lie. They are closing these stores because they are unionizing, and for no other reason. I hope all Starbucks in the metro vote to unionize now. Put pressure on the corporate profiteers!

The strawberry Frappuccino that blonde guy made it for me is perfect, thanks for giving the best Frappuccino, other Starbucks doesn’t make it with this best taste ever?

Never seem to have good experiences at this Starbucks. Just saw my blended strawberry lemonade get made then left to sit in the blender while the drinks of the people before me in line got made and set out. Finally someone else poured my drink into a cup, then promptly left it to sit again for yet a third person to have to put the lid on and hand it to me. At that point it was a regular liquid strawberry lemonade, not a blended drink. Sadly not the first time my drink has been made then left on the work station, ignored, 8 feet from me. Prefer the Starbucks on Main in midtown.

The most iconic Starbucks in KC for sure.

Not sure why Josh is so unhappy in life, but he shouldn’t be at the front end of a busy coffee shop. I’ve never met someone as rude and crass as him at a brand I generally try to seek out. Too many coffee choices on the Plaza with great coffee and better customer service.

they gave me the most life bringing, gobsmacking, holy chai with oatmilk I’ve ever had in my life. before visiting the plaza starbucks my life had no meaning. now? now I’ve seen everything.

Katie was welcoming and nice. She not only asked me what I wanted to order, but asked me what my plans were for the weekend. I’m not from Kansas City so she gave me some recommendations on how to spend my time, and at the end of the interaction she read my order back to me and made sure it was all correct, she made our day!

From NY to CA, I’ve been to a lot of Starbucks. This one is always busy but I have to say, it’s SO well run. It doesn’t feel of the chaos of other busy Starbucks. I usually avoid busy Starbucks during peak hours- other than this one. All I have to say is they are doing something right! Always timely, friendly and correct. Thanks!

As always, even on The Plaza, Starbucks never fails. My boys love the Acia and Dragon Fruit drinks. Always smiles. One day I will get my name spelled right. Haha

Wonderful ambience and exceptional staff. The coffee is amazing and the muffins are definitely worth it ?

Maybe my complaints are mostly stemming from its location in the Plaza, but this Starbucks is way too crowded and busy.I understand that there were new hires being trained today, but they seemed to have forgotten the blueberry muffin I ordered until after about fifteen minutes of waiting and a gentle reminder from my boyfriend. I don't think it takes 15 minutes to warm up a blueberry muffin, especially since the line was starting to mostly die down after I had ordered. The food and drink were mediocre. I've had matcha tea drinks at different places before but the powder they use here was -overpoweringly- spinach-scented and flavored. Maybe I should've asked for more sugar, but I couldn't even finish the drink because it was too spinachy. The blueberry muffin, in comparison to ones I've ordered from other Starbucks locations, was pretty small. It tasted fine as expected but the size was disappointing. Not sure if I'd return here again, it's passable as a Starbucks but not great.

Took me 20 minutes just to get a nitro. The employees here are great. Everything else is terrible. Bad parking, over crowded, small space. The worst of it all is the manager, Alex. He’s incredibly condescending and has never been helpful when I have questions.
