Great place to watch any game with tons of TVs and just on the Kansas side of the border for the sports bettors.

Stopped in for the first time with friends for the TX/OSU game. Atmosphere is fun, tons of TVs, making any seat in the house a good seat. Appetizers were good (not pictured), we had the mozzarella sticks (they were a little cold), some loaded tots and the pepper jack balls (fire). Drinks were good too. Husband had the Route 66 Booga and I had the Chicken Lips with onion rings. Food was overall good but the service was aweseom! Our server was running like a mad woman and never missed a beat. We'd go back for the service alone.

Ordered the turkey melt with fries. Tasted really good 8 out of 10. It was really basic no garnish other then cheese and turkey. The fries breaded fries which i personally enjoy 7 out of 10 they didnt sit to heavy.
Also ordered the chicken and waffles the chicken tasted really good and the bacon was nice. But the waffles were nasty, i had asked for syrup on the side but the syrup was was doused into the waffle also the waffled tasted like grease and was not appealing overall a 5 out of 10. Made me throw up.
Overall 7 out of 10.
The customer service was spot on with only 1 server taking care of everyone.

I've been going to Tanner's for a while, food and service is usually good for a sports bar, and it's conveniently located next to the KUMC campus.
Most recently, I asked my waiter to close my tab because I wanted to pay my bill in cash instead. After I paid in cash and left, he still charged my card later that evening for the full bill. Did he really think that $50 cash was his tip for a $40 meal?

Sitting here waiting for the chiefs game to start and the waitress, whom name we did not know was very snotty. We asked her what he name was and she says Jody with an attitude. Then she tells us not to scream her name out when we need her service. There was 5 in the group that was already here and we were waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. Then a woman, that never introduced herself told us we need 50% of our group to be here or we couldn't hold 3 tables, so they tried to makes us squeeze to 1 table. There was a spill at the table and the tight short wearing man complained about the spill when I asked for napkins. All in all this was the worst experience I've had at tanners. I'm retired military, work for the state and part time police, and this is the worst service I've received anywhere!!!! I will not be returning to this tanners on 39th and Rainbow...

Horrible service from Jody and the Fairy boy!!!! Rude and argumentative!! To the point that a group in front of us turned around and offered their table because they were not staying for the game. They also wanted us to forfeit our table because 2 white guys wanted 1 of the tables we were sitting at. The fairy continued to be disrespectful and antagonizing. This location is horrible! If you go to the bar Lee is awesome and very customer service oriented. The manager was also rude and condescending. I don't recommend this location if you are looking for a waitress or waitor who can be customer service oriented. Jody sucks!! And fairy boy!!

Was in town for a couple of nights and this was in walking distance. I'd never heard of it (not from the area). Had two PERFECT meals. Great service by the world's best bartender, Lexie (I believe). Typical sports bar atmosphere, but cleaner and friendlier feeling than most. I'm picky about bacon on things not being crispy when it says it is, this bacon was PERFECT on my burger one night and my sandwich the next. Great beer selection, and again, the bartender was very attentive.

Fabulous food! My chicken sandwich was served on sour dough bread that was so good! We were there during a KC Chiefs game and they had Chiefs alumni there signing autographs. Great place to watch a game!

Chicken sandwich was not good. Chicken was tough and flavorless. Place was not attractive at all inside.

Sat at bar. Bartender comes over I asked for a chocolate martini. She told me they don't do chocolate martinis and placed the menu in front of me. I stated I didn't need the menu I knew what they had. She responds, why you ask me for a chocolate martini then?
Not my first time at Tanners and I've had several Chocolate Martinis there. That's why I asked for it and not do you have it.
Another bartender comes over and my whole experience changes. A good personality goes a long way. He was polite and didn't seem like I was bothering him.
