I have been coming here since they opened in Kansas City. This is a family owned business.One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in KC.The restaurant itself isn’t very big, most customers order carry out.I love their Sopes.Most customers come for the tamales.The food portions are great and the pricing is affordable.I wish this restaurant would move to Johnson County area because this location is far from where I live.Parking: If the restaurant is busy, it can be difficult to find a parking spot.

This met my high standards for inexpensive Mexican food that's a VALUE. That's really my only high standard. I like locally-owned places and this fits the bill. Tamales had a little too much breading for my tastes but otherwise everything else I've tried here was really authentic and solid! No liquor that I saw which makes a good lunch option. I think it's the owner that took my order, was really nice. Table seating is limited but it sounded like they do a lot of take out biz.

I was recommended to this place from a friend, and she had forgotten to warn me that the man that works there is a piece of work. He was extremely rude.. I came through the drive thru and asked to order.. He told me I'm suppose to call ahead to come through drive thru but proceeded to take my order anyways.. I apologized and explained it's my first time here, so I didn't know I'm suppose to call ahead.. And he says 'I don't care. Every drive thru is like that' .. Though, I expected this drive thru like most I've been to; with a intercom next to the menu before you drive up to the window.. Not calling ahead. He made me so uncomfortable. Couldn't even enjoy my food that I had to come back to pick up 20 min later. Will not be returning.
