Excellent bakery, easily the best cafe in NE Kansas so far. The mortadella sandwich is outstanding, the steak sandwich is delicious, and the pastries are excellent. Everything tastes fresh and high quality. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The staff were so kind and inviting. The latte and drip coffee were superb. It was one of the best lattes I have had in Lawrence. The breakfast burrito and verde salsa were paired well together. The burrito was hearty and great flavor. The chocolate croissant was buttery, flaky, and soft. Would highly recommend! Great atmosphere.

Delicious iced nitro apple cider. Great vibes, lots of tables but most of them taken up by 1 person each. Elegant vibe but still chill inside, perfect for studying / working. Heads up the kitchen closed at 3 even though they were still serving drinks so there weren't any pastries or lunch food available.

I love the pastries, but the packaging is making Barker nearly unusable for me. I keep getting open air boxes with no top, which makes it impossible to buy a single pastry to eat later or buy two to take to somebody. It's very disappointing because I used to buy pastries to take to our office staff or my partner.
