Great food and service, but very noisy and hard to have a conversation in.

Service was fine. Ambience is good - its a nicely furnished, but cramped space. The ambient volume is upwards of 90dB (loud). However, the mediocre food is what drives my two star rating. The grilled lamb was okay, but the lasagna was 90% pasta noodles and severely lacking in flavor. If we wanted a lively place to drink and food was secondary, our review would likely be more favorable. But we were there for the food, and left disappointed.

We were there this past Saturday night. The food was amazing as always, our server was super sweet. I would say the hostess with dark hair and glasses was rude and should not be in customer service. Otherwise amazing and great ambiance!

Not sure what's happening at 715 - this used to be one of our favorite places to go in all of Kansas City. During our most recent experience, the service was very good however, the food was only fair and the prices have gone up significantly. As an example, the fancy-sprinkle dessert cake we used to love is now a Bundt cake with icing on top - and they're charging $13. It was also surprising to see open tables on a Saturday evening - normally the restaurant is full. We hope this is only a temporary hiccup in what has been in the past one of the best dining experiences in Lawrence.

This restaurant is really nice. I had garlic shrimp pasta and my husband had one of the specials which had pork stuffed cannoli we started with bread/olive oil and finished with coffee and bread pudding / crème brulle it was our 51st anniversary and the wait staff had a signed card for us at the table when we arrived. We had reservations which is recommended.

Quite possibly the best food I've ever had in my life. The lamb was incredibly flavorful, the focaccia was fresh, even the charcuterie was better than most things I've eaten. And the chocolate ganache cake was insane. It was definitely expensive, but I'd eat here every day if I had the money.

A Gem in Lawrence! My partner and I ventured to 715 on the night of a KU basketball game, wisely making a reservation to secure our spot in the bustling restaurant. Even at 4 o'clock, the place was abuzz with energy, a testament to its popularity among locals and visitors alike. Arriving just after restaurant week, we were thrilled to find the special menu still on offer, presenting us with a plethora of options to explore. The extensive menu, particularly the small plates selection, piqued our interest, as we relish sharing our culinary adventures. Opting for a pre-game nibble, we indulged in two margaritas, though slightly steep at $14 each, they delivered on taste, albeit in a more traditional fashion. Our taste journey truly began with the Brussels sprouts, a flavorful delight heightened by the unexpected addition of golden raisins? adding a delightful contrast. The chorizo, romesco, and date dish emerged as the star of our dining experience, offering a symphony of flavors and textures that left us craving more. Each bite was a revelation. Service was commendable, with our server delivering attentive care, but it was the discreet efficiency of the manager that truly impressed us. Her seamless orchestration of the dining experience, from table clearings to bill assistance, ensured a smooth and enjoyable meal for all patrons. 715 left an indelible mark on us, igniting a desire to return and explore more of its culinary offerings on our next visit to Lawrence. With its diverse menu, impeccable service, and vibrant ambiance, 715 stands out as a must-visit destination in the heart of Kansas.

Ok. We love coming downtown to eat and only come to 715 on special occasions but no more! Nope not gonna do it Service is excellent Vibe inside is excellent Menu odd PRICES are outrageous and not sure who sits back there and decides but holy cow. I dont mind paying high prices for a great meal and know this place is overpriced. Went last friday night and asked if I should get pork schnitzel or chicken parm. Waiter said parm. Of course it was 37.00! For chicken? Really? So ordered it and basically a deep fried chicken as stated on menu w not so flavorful sauce. And was over-fried as well. Ate half and brought rest home but didnt eat it. On top of that it was chicken thigh not breast! Who makes chicken parm from thigh meat and charges 37 bucks! Menu also stated crispy goat cheese risotto and i have eaten risotto many many times but these looked liked grits for some reason. I can picture Gordan Ramsey on Kitchen nightmares taking one bite and being disgusted and sending it back which is what I should have done. Never going back as there are so many other great places downtown w great food and prices.
