Great service! Great attention from the owner too who answered all my questions about his competition next door (Chipotle). It's easy to see how this restaurant has managed to stay afloat for the last 50 years the food is a fair price and it's comforting too(al carte menu struck my eye). The taco burger was tasty and hands-down the best re-fried beans I ever had!
I love tacos and this place has all you can eat! Lol... sadly, they are closing their taco bar at the end of this year. The restaurant will remain open but the all you can eat taco bar will not be part of it. The staff has always been professional (never seemed very friendly but not rude) and they keep the food hot and fresh. Bathroom is in pretty bad shape. I highly recommend going in and experiencing the taco bar before the end of 2019.

I've been eating here for a very long time beginning with my college years as a hungry student at KU, to now as a resident in Kansas City not thinking twice about the one hour drive to Lawrence to enjoy a Texas burrito followed by another one hour drive home. Worth it every time!
