I always stop when I come to Lawrence . I Just left there and drove home to Kansas City of course our order is completely messed up . We spent 55.00 and then an additional 7 for extra sauce. My daughter meal had jalapeños on it when I asked for none , my burrito had ground beef instead of chicken and pico which is wrong , the cheese dip was spilled in the bag. I’m so disappointed… I want my damn money back but of course there’s no phone number …

You cant say you've had a night in Lawrence if you've never been here at 2am on a friday. Part of lawrence culture, try it!!!

The burritos are really good, and for that reason I rarely try something else off of their impressively lengthy menu, but the few times I have, that has been good too. You have to try their hot sauce, while it is pretty spicy, it has a fantastic flavor that pairs well with the food.

My only complaint after eating there dozens of times is that, if I’m ordering a $10 burrito, I would hope that any effort at all was put in to distributing the ingredients along the length of the tortilla. Pretty much every time I order a burrito, I chew through rice, then beans, then lettuce and cheese, then the meat. I would like to enjoy all of the ingredients at the same time!

UPDATE: Since posting this review I’ve noticed that the ingredients are distributed throughout the burrito a lot more evenly, so I’m bumping this review up to 5 stars!

Only go here as a last resort. Even then check your how strong you can digest things before you get in line. Restaurant is a Consistent let down as a local. 0/0

Great burritos. Even better that they are open late night. Limited outside seating

Any time I come within a 30 mile radius of LFK, I will make it a point to stop and get a #5 Spicy steak burrito. Hands down best burrito I've had. Puts Chipotle to absolute shame!

Burrito King in Lawrence is an absolute gem! Their burritos are massive, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients. The carne asada and breakfast burritos are my personal favorites—always perfectly seasoned and satisfying. The staff is fast, friendly, and the drive-thru is a lifesaver when you’re craving something delicious late at night.
Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or a midnight snack, Burrito King always hits the spot. Great prices, generous portions, and unbeatable flavor—definitely a Lawrence classic! 🌯👑🔥

It's true that I'm rarely there before midnight. And I'm usually three double beers deep -- on the edge of coherent. But I still remember every burrito and torta I've sucked down. Nothing better open this late that's for sure.
