If you have dietary restrictions (vegan or gluten free) the staff know all the ingredients and can point you in the right direction. I was told a few items were gluten free (ie an oatmeal cookie, and the financiers) but you’ve got to ask! The coffee was also the best so far in Lawrence after trying a few places on Mass St. Give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

Absolutely fire! This place always stands out every time I go. I got the cider and it was great it was warm and had the perfect flavor. The atmosphere is great to hang out and eat and drink. We travel extensively in Europe, including France: this would be a comparatively great bakery if it were in Paris! Fantastic croissants, buns, scones--- and the chocolate chip cookie is the best I've ever had. Oh, the sandwich bread loaf? Unbeatable. Now, it's time for the management to contact Google and get it fixed so that it comes up under the "bakery" name. Somehow, it doesn't show up on a search (perhaps because it calls itself a patisserie and café?) We drive in from KC to enjoy this place.

Found this place on a Google search. Cute little place with beautiful pastries! We tried a couple iced lattes, the blueberry orange financier (like a muffin, but more dense- soft and moist on the inside but slightly crunchy exterior and covered in icing but not overly sweet), omelet sandwich (egg and cheese on house made English muffin), and unique BLT (on grilled sourdough and slightly spicy). The sandwiches were large and messy but delicious! Plan to go back next time I’m in town. FYI- service is order at the counter and they deliver to your table vs full service, so we were surprised when the bill was larger than expected due to an automatic 20% tip added to all orders.

Hip small eatery just off of Lawrence's main strip Mass Street. We had breakfast at Cellar Door and we were very satisfied. I had a Sausage sandwich, which was a great combination of flavors - salty, spicy and sweet. It is not too spicy with the sweetness of the jam neutralizing it well. The muffin it came on is perfect. My family had a breakfast bagel sandwich and an omelette sandwich and they passed with flying colors. Cappuccino tasted great as well but it comes a little small. Great overall breakfast experience
