Great little spot in East Lawrence. Ample free parking, funky baristas, and oodles of personality! Also great outdoor porch to chill on. Support this great local business and help it stick around. They do lots of other fun events like art shows, music, clothing swaps, and more. Their creativity at coming up with fun events always inspires me. Follow them on Instagram @decadelawrence!Oh. And the coffee is yum!
Went there for the first time with my boyfriend. As soon as we walk up to the counter, they started this extensive list of all of their unavailable menu items. Which was mainly everything I would have ordered. Just not for me.
Nice place with a chill atmosphere. Came here on a whim a year ago on a trip and had to come back again. Just very nice.
I love this place. The vibes are great and their mochas are really tasty, and my favorite plant store is right next door. Although I have to give 4 stars because of the lack of outlets nearby the seating areas so make sure your laptop is charged before you get here
Decade is a hidden gem! Nestled is next to JungleHouse plant shop in a quieter part of Lawrence. The cafe is small but offers Indoor and outdoor seating areas with friendly staff. They use house made syrups and Hildebrand milk (oat and cashew milk alternatives) and a few options for pastries or food. I tried the Lavender Honey latte, hibiscus clove lemonade, and a burrito. The latte was good but lacked sweetness, the lemonade was very delicious and the flavors blended well and the burrito was a bit disappointing for my taste as it was mostly black beans. The environment and use of local products is what made this such a great place for me!
On paper my bill should have been $5.50 plus tax, but came out as $9.05. The explanation was that the menu price was for a smaller size (larger size not listed) and that there was an automatic 20% tip.Just raise your prices people. No one's into the hidden fee game. (Couldn't find large prices or service fees listed anywhere.)Coffee was great, though.
The atmosphere is awesome but the coffee itself isn't anything special. The staff are very nice.
Love the coffee, wife and kid loves the sweets, and the outside seating ambiance takes you out of this town! A great cafe away from the busy Mass st.
It’s alright, I would have liked to see some green tea options. But my fiancé really enjoyed his coffee.
Nice atmosphere. Seems like it might be a little cramped if it was busy, otherwise it was an interesting place. Wonder what it was in a previous life; it's a pretty old structure. A guy at the counter said he thought it might have been a warehouse for the railroad.

I always see Decade being one of the best coffee shops in Lawrence. I finally decided to try it and was a bit disappointed. I love the building, the atmosphere, etc but I wasn’t super impressed with the coffee. I got a shaken l espresso and a cold brew. The cold brew was 4/5, but the espresso had a lot of coarse grounds in the bottom. I’m a big fan of some fines, but this was crunchy and I didn’t even finish all of the drink.I also got a vanilla caramel steamer and a pastry. My kid was a huge fan of both! I will be back soon to give them another try since they are so highly recommended.
The iced chai was good but a bit weak. The grilled cheese was better than the egg sandwich. The muffin was as tough as leather.
Decade is everything a coffee shop should be. Reviving an old building into a nice gathering place for engaging conversations, it is LGBTQ friendly, and uses products and decor made from recycled and sustainable materials. It provides a peaceful and productive environment for work or socializing, with both indoor and shaded outdoor seating. It is the best place in Lawrence for a great cup of coffee or espresso made by skilled and knowledgeable baristas. The small selection of food I’ve tried has been excellent as well. Try the warm cider bread with sweet butter for a tasty morning treat! ? ELFK ?
Quiet cozy little coffee shop within walking distance of the main strip. It was not a very big room, but I never felt crowded and was able to hold a conversation without feeling like I was disturbing nearby patrons. I got a cold brew, which was delicious. I would certainly return to this coffee shop.
Decade continues to be my favorite coffee place in Lawrence and has been for years. Somehow they get it perfect every time and the environment is perfect for studying or catching up with friends. Can't recommend the place and all it's staff enough
