El Mezcal Mexican Restaurant

Just awful. Ordered a beer, tasted nice and skunky, was 3 days from expiration. Nachos were actually laughable, canned refried beans with subpar cheese dip and of course, 0 seasoning. Will not be returning.

Even with 12 people waiting in line when we arrived, we were seated in a fairly short time. The wait staff came to quickly and since we had a few minutes to study the menu, we were ready to order, so our food and drink orders came pretty quickly too. My order of three enchiladas, one ground beef, one cheese and bean, and one white chicken meat, were smothered with a trio of green white and red sauces. Plenty of rice and beans were also on my plate. Scrumptious chips and salsa before the meal were also served. Since we visit Lawrence, Kansas frequently, this will be a regular stop for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful and efficient. Everything was clean and cleaned again and again. we noticed that. They do have outdoor seating, but it was rather hot that day so we were thankful for the air-conditioning. I recommend this place!

luis our server never checked on us he kept trying to avoid us only got the drinks we started with when we came in never got a refill and when we did get his attention he had an attitude with us the whole time

I just ordered a carryout order of Nacho Supreme. Online it says 8 $8.99 so I walk there in this hot ass 96° Heat! And when I got there they told me the price was over 13 dollars. I asked to speak to the manager and all he did was tell me sorry, and that they had just updated the menu like 2 days ago. Well I showed him the price and that it said it had been updated 6 days ago. That's false advertising. But whatever!!!
