My partner and I have both only been to LK a couple times within the last decade, came here because good reviews. And we not disappointed!
Funny enough we both realized the second we pulled up that we'd BOTH been here once before, and separately at that haha.
Delicious food (VEGAN friendly)
Nice environment to enjoy a meal and chat or quick service when you're on a time crunch (like we were before a concert!)

I ordered to go. I am pescatarian and ordered the Vegetarian General Tso’s chicken. It was so delicious and I had been craving something like this for a long time and Encore perfected it. After the first bite I was so happy! I will definitely be ordering here again.

I love this restaurant and have been going for years, even after graduating from the University of Kansas several years ago. However, some of the servers aren’t very pleasant. I received one server today, who did not provide much acknowledgment to our table, and had an expectation of receiving a high tip, which wasn’t earned, especially since we had to ask and request certain things which should’ve been given if you were serving the table. However, I always love the food here!

Wonderful place great food and great service, like the outdoor seating. The last time we ate there 2 off us ended up with diarrhea, we think it was the Brussels Sprouts.

Cool, relaxing vibe, service was great, food came quickly and tasted terrific. The Springs rolls and crab Rangoon were nice starters, great flavors. Pad Thai noodles with the beef, chicken, and shrimp was excellent, just the right spiciness. The pineapple chicken was packed full of pineapple and great flavors. Portion sizes were good. The background music was even pleasant and not too loud like many establishments. Great choice while we were back in town!

I recently did a pickup from Encore in Lawrence, KS, and ordered the Pad Thai w/ Chicken that was delicious.
The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the sauce had a great balance of sweet, spice (light) and savory flavors. The chicken was tender for the most part and well-seasoned, making each bite enjoyable.
The pickup process was smooth and efficient. My order was ready on time, and the staff was friendly and courteous when I arrived.
Spent under $20.
I highly recommend Encore. They came highly recommended from my daughter’s college roommate.
They do have a cotton candy machine inside, $4.
Parking: Was able to park on the street. Typical Lawrence street parking. Not sure if they had a parking lot behind restaurant.

I don't leave a whole lot of reviews, but man, Chee was the best server I have ever had. He was considerate in every way and even when he was sat with a 10-12 person table, still made the effort to make a special night for my fiance and I. The windowed bathroom situation is a tad weird, and I don't know if I'm here for the strange or not yet.
Dietary restrictions: They are willing to work with you on what you need. I have an all nut allergy and I felt safe.
