We love the service and the food. I just wish they would clean the fountain machine and clean the windows especially the ones with the spider webbs.

We live in Topeka and was in Lawrence the other night always have to stop by to grab us a Firehouse Sub! Now we just need one in TOPEKA please!!!

I ordered on the app and my pickup time was incorrect. The staff helped me straighten it out and made my sandwiches quickly for me. They were great and very kind! Sandwiches were excellent! We have been coming here since my children were little and wanted the fire hats, and they are in college now! Great place to eat!

My husband and I was in the restaurant, we had our service dog with us. One worker told the manager that there was a dog, the manager told a mother worker about us. The second worker came out and said no animals are allowed, when I informed her that he is a service dog, she asked for documentation and then went behind the counter. The rest of the time all both workers and the manager was bad mouthing us and our dog. The manager commented, "I have a black lab at home and you don't see me making him a service dog." Mind you my dog was laying in the floor at my table not causing any issues or anything.

Hubby is a BIG fan of sub sandwiches. Me? Meh, not so much but I've been wanting to try this place so after and eventful trip to menards, off I go! It's an ok place. I mean, it's got some ambiance but it's a sub shop so it's not going to be covered tables, low lighting, etc. Plenty of industrial tables and chairs though! Greeted immediately and gave my order to a cheerful young man. I ordered a club sub to go. The place was semi busy- it was 1230pm. 2 other people were waiting for their to go's and mine was done about 10 minutes later. Not too bad. Got home and scored MAJOR wifey points for the sub! It's piled ridiculously high with several meats, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, etc on whole wheat! You can even request the bread slices be hollowed out if you don't want the carbs! That's pretty cool!!!! The sandwich itself hits all the buttons. It's delicious! You can taste every meat and the lettuce isn't soggy, it's crisp as are the tomatoes! Usually sub sandwiches are a soggy mess by the time I get home. Not this one! Hubby was rapidly approaching sub coma deliciousness and it makes me so happy when he's happy! All in all, great place to get a sub. 4 stars on the atmosphere as it's just a bare bones place and that's ok! BUT! there is NOTHING bare bones about their food!

Disrespectful. I had a call in order waited 15 minutes. Female manager just sitting on her phone. So i just hand to end up unassigning from the order i had another order from another store i had already picked up waiting in the car. When i saw another driver come and go i went up to the counter and that lady who was sitting on her phone earlier told me there were still orders before mine i lost it. They dont priortize drivers who deliver for them. Thr most ungrateful and disrespectful restaraunt in Lawrence. Will never go there again

Ordered food online at 11:30 so it would be ready by noon. Arrived slight after noon. Food was not ready til 12:30. Barely got an apology - they mostly just seemed annoyed that I had placed an order and spent money at their establishment. They have all these weird passive agressive signs posted around the restaurant about charging for water cups and judgemental statements about the bathrooms. This was my last visit to this restaurant. Not recommended.

Expensive for what you get. I ordered Medium Club & when I got home, there was no bacon on it.
I'm really disappointed for a sandwich that cost $11, a price thats higher than the average here.
We got a total of 2 sandwiches & they both had less meat than they used to, which also adds to the chagrin over the higher price.

On the plus side the other ingredients were good tasting & the staff were nice and the sandwiches came fast, but that doesnt make up for the other issues.

Sorry, I'm not going to go to the website - it defeats the purpose of the business replying to comments if they are aren't actually paying attention to them, imo?

Food was good, but I could eat at decent sit-down place for five more dollars and have a great meal. $18 for a sub, drinks, and chips? Not worth it.

Friendliest staff, delicious subs and Mac and cheese, and clean facility. Feels like I'm here on a weekly basis and gladly!

Vegetarian options: No meat Salad, veggie sandwich, Mac and cheese, soup, chips

Recommended dishes: Firehouse Hero Sub, Hook & Ladder Sub, Sandwich, Club on a Sub, Spicy Cajun Chicken, Mac & Cheese, New York Steamer

I love the subs here, but all the little handwritten passive aggressive notes all over the place from the owner make me not want to go back. You are not convincing anyone that free water cups are going to make you go out of business.

Extremely impressed…This Italian sub double meat from Firehouse Subs measured in at 8” long 3” wide and over 4” tall!With Chips and a drink it was about $10 more than Subway however it was more food than I had at subway ordering 3 6” subs of theirs.They have a quality control process 2nd to none, they seal the back and the person who double checks orders signs off like a chain of custody bag for evidence.It was founded by Firemen and the portions designed to feed a Fire Crew after a long crazy shift.
