Don't dishes are flavor packed! Chicken sandwich is hands down the best one I've ever had. Service top notch. Cocktails are fire. You must try this place!

We came as a group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) and were told the kitchen couldn't handle that many. After a painful needlessly painful negotiation, we were able to sit at two separate tables with separate servers. This was at opening and there 2 other tables in the restaurant with people.

We had the calamari, the pub chips with dip, and the Vietnamese ribs. Ribs were tender but the season was just not right. The pub chips were $18 for some BBQ and a creamy dip, but the calamari was good -- large platter of ring calamari, lightly battered and peppered.

For dinner, 3 of us split a lasagna and a Thai shrimp udon. The lasagna was quite disappointing. It had a lot of meat, but very little sauce and minimum seasoning. In addition, It was dried out -- I believe the leftovers will be much better with some Ragu (I know, harsh). The udon was quite good, very good curry with a slight tang, however, for $24, they could have put in more than 6 small shrimp.

For desert we had the cheese cake, which was okay... cheesecake factory or similar is much better, but it wasn't awful. The graham crumble crust was a bit thick, it was quite as firm as I like. The fried Chinese donuts were a bit dry and tasted as if the dough was overworked.

Overall, okay food for Lawrence. Large servings so that it's a decent value for your money. I felt more like I was eating catered food -- like a mid range wedding. Not great, but not awful.

I might go again, the burger looked reasonably good, and despite the low shrimp count, the udon was still pretty good. But I won't go out of my way.

Tried a new place today and became lifetime diners. Walking in there is a calm atmosphere and delicious aromas that taunt you. Our server was very welcoming and knowledgeable of all the menu items. I ordered the lasagna colognes and my son ordered the Udon and we tried the goat cheese and bread for an appetizer. Hands down this is the BEST goat cheese I have ever had! It is bursting with flavor and is perfect paired with the bread. The first bite of lasagna made my soul happy. Each layer brimming with flavor and the texture was spot on. My son's Udon was no disappointment either. He said it was in the top 2 best he has ever had. I tried a Mosow Mule and then I tried another because they use quality liquor and I was in heaven at the full flavor. Best to date. In conclusion, this is my new favorite place to eat in Lawrence. Every aspect of our dining experience was top notch and the staff are in my top 2 for friendliness and knowledge. I give Fork & Tumbler a 10/10 and highly recommend going as soon as possible.

A little hectic getting seated and getting water/menus. Everything after was great. Four different dishes at our table, all AMAZING flavor, all came out fast and hot. Two udons, a burger and ribs, man this was all good stuff.

This place has such a great vibe and is beautifully decorated. The owner/Bartender/manager? Rob is the coolest guy! Portions are ginormous and so so good. We didn’t have one single bad thing and tried a bunch of items. I’m going to be thinking about that berry lemonade cocktail for months to come until we can make it back to Lawrence. 10/10 all around!

We’ve eaten at Fork and Tumbler twice now and both times the vibe was very uncomfortable. There is an obvious tension between the service staff and the kitchen, which is visible from the dining area. One of the chefs seemed very angry both times we went, scowling and slamming down orders. He was rude to the staff and his energy seemed to have everyone (including us) on edge. It was just very unprofessional and strange—especially since it’s an open kitchen for diners to view. The interior is cute and cozy. The food that was available (we were among the first seated for the evening but they were “sold out” of two dishes) was decent, although the giant bowl of veggie udon was lacking any actual vegetables. The chicken sandwich and lasagna (the two dishes they’re know for) were tasty and a few of the apps were good too. Sadly, just an overall uncomfortable vibe radiating from the kitchen and ruining the experience. We were excited to put this in our outing rotation but will probably not return or recommend to friends without a heads up about the atmosphere first.

Arrived around 7 on Friday night. Got a table pretty quickly even place was pretty full. Ordered our two Udong dishes. After 25 minutes, wait staff told us the kitchen was slammed but wouldn't be long. Another 10 minutes called wait staff to table and asked about our order. Told we were up next. 15 minutes later saw orders brought out to table that came in 20 minutes after us. We told staff we'd been waiting 50 minutes and left without being served. Place was so noisy, we could barely hear ourselves talk. Can't comment on the food because we were never served. Will not go back.
