Westfield Place Apartments

The constant stressors that come with living here are simply not worth it. We had plumbing issues for 5+ months because there is concrete in the bathroom pipes. This issue was continually ignored by Shannon even when her own staff and outsourced professionals informed her of how serious the problem was. Eventually our apartment (as well as many others in the complex) flooded with sewage water. Our bathtubs were backed up with literal waste. Shannon was rude and condescending. There were countless maintenance people in and out of our unit throughout the time we stayed here. It disrupted school and work. Management did not care to fix the integral issue and instead resorted to quick fixes that did not deal with the ongoing dilemma and instead put it off for us to have to encounter later. We received no compensation or reasonable consideration. There are better places to stay on the west side of Lawrence.

I have lived in 3 different apartments (1 and 3 bedrooms) at West Field Place since 2013. I have been so impressed with how well they take care of the complex and always appreciate how wonderful Shannon, Sheri, Cameron and Kyle have been over the years. Very energy efficient and LOVE having an attached garage! I highly recommend this place!

I loved these apartments! This is an 8 month delayed review due to having to move for a new job and getting acclimated! The staff here was very friendly. Because it was during "COVID Time" I didn't get to meet them in person but they were always quick to reply to my emails or calls. The area is also really nice with trails, grocery stores, and restaurant just around the block.

This is the best community in Lawrence with great management. Close to rock chalk park, sprouts, dillons, and several good restaurants. Beautiful spacious houses with an option to have a garage. All the maintenance issues are dealt with promptly. In my 5 years of stay, I have only good things to talk about.

I don’t know about any other unit, but do not live in W1. There is mold all over every single window, the doors, and the walls behind furniture.

I lived at Westfield Place Apartments for 2 years and would rate the apartments, and business as the best I experienced in Lawrence. The apartments are aesthetically pleasing, the utilities were less than other apartments, and the maintenance was top notch. I called twice for two separate maintenance requests, and they promptly fixed each of the problems. In regards to amenities, I personally didn’t use the recreation center but My wife and I did enjoy the pool which was always clean and well kept. My neighbors were always pleasant to deal with. The only minor issue I had was parking. On occasion I would have to park at the complex next to ours (50 ft away) because of the limited parking in front of our complex. That being said, had my wife and I not bought a house we would likely still be living at the Westfield Place Apartments. My wife has commented numerous times about the benefits of not having to deal with house problems, taxes, insurance, and mortgage interest. If you can find an opening at Westfield, I highly recommend calling it home. The personnel are very friendly, the apartments are rock solid, and the location is prime.

I lived here for about 6 years and loved every minute of it. It is close to stores and highways, the management is quick and responsive, the apartments are nice and well maintained and the amenities are quiet and feel private. The only reason I left is because we bought a house, otherwise I would still live there!

I loved renting an apartment here. Clean, quiet, and up-to-date, in a nice part of town. I especially loved the convenience of the neighborhood and the community. The management is incredible—responsive and kind.

The management is always professional, courteous and helpful with any concern I might have. Shannon and Shari are the best! And Kyle, our trustworthy maintenance man, is awesome too!

It was a delight to live here! Location was perfect close to dillons, sprouts, and Walmart. But also off the beaten path so it’s quiet and you don’t feel like you are on the main strip. Management is quick to respond and always helpful! You couldn’t ask for better walking trails, easy walk to rock chalk park. Loved the large windows in the apartment units. The gym is never crowded and although not huge has everything you need between cardio and weights. The pool is wonderful in the summer!

Liked the building and other tenants, parking is really full if you don't have a garage. Management is somewhat rude if you have an issue that needs resolved, they don't seem to care much about the tenants and their issues here. Will also make sure to take your deposit despite how well your apartment was taken care of.
